Dexter is the first to admit that all of his and Birdie's accomplishment s-business, charity, personal, and family-are the result of hard work. "Nothing much happens without working to make it happen," he says. "If you can accomplish a goal without working, chances are the goal has little value. I want to help people understand that a dream unrealized is a dream imprisoned by your greatest enemy: fear of failure!" Dexter finishes this thought with perhaps his best-known advice, heard by countless thousands of people the world over:

"Don't Let Anybody Steal Your Dream!"

Three good things today....

1.  I was absolute discipline to my trading plan.....I have not yet broken a rule. However I do need to work on my entry.
2.  I reviewed my entry situations.  The trades that were less than 4 resulted in 11 losses out of 12.  That is a very good reason to check and double check my criteria.
3.  I ventured out and checked out a possible solution for my future.

I think the market's resilience in bouncing back in the long run reflects human's resilience and striving for to growth and prosperity.

No matter how bad things get, our human spirit, once tested, always reflect the best in us.  That is why the market seems to be trending ever higher, in the long run.

When you want rain.....do not pray for rain, but imagine yourself in the wet soaking rain.  Feel the joy of the rain, and give thanks for the rain that you already have.......Thi s also works with anything else you want in your life as well....

There's a law and a process....pla nt a seed in the ground and it will grow.  Whatever you want, plant a seed, water it and it will grow.

Because no gardener ever goes out and says, "Give me some vegetables and I will water you."

Trading is not about buying into companies.   It is about making money, nothing more.

The best measure of your intention is the result you get.

Absolute return vs Wall Streets standard of aversion to the mean.

What is the book "Trend Following" telling me?  It is telling that my system works, and I have to pursue it, learn, and execute my trading plan exactly the wanted and tested.....

Wall Street works hard to make what they do, which nothing more than buying and holding, appear complex and sophisticated.

I didn't take SOHU.  I checked and double checked it, but I didn't take it.  For me to take it, I would have had to have taken it after the first day.  I didn't take it because it didn't make any sense now...... The qualify was there, but I didn't take it.

I know that my system works..... be patient and keep executing my trades the way I wanted it.  Do not be distracted by results, but keep focusing on execution exactly as tested.

In the old days, I would have been short and struggling now.  I have broken away from that and I am trading it the way I wanted to.

Weekly Review.

For this week, I went back and noticed that some of the trades that I labeled incorrectly were devastating to my account.

Some were not correctly valued, some were not correctly entered, some should not have been entered at all because my order has expired.

Not correctly valued:
1. Too much confidence
     1. ROK - Too much valuation on (Trigger or Support)
     2. TXN - Too much valuation on Pattern
     3.  CE - Not a Trigger.  Over value.
     4.  NEM & ABX - Candle was not strong enough.  It is actually weaker than I assigned.
     5.  BBBY - Overvalued. (does not qualified).  The previous time qualified, because there was a stronger signal.
2.  Error in judgement
     1.  CLF - With Pattern, Trigger needs to be close to Band
     2.  DE - Too much valuation on BB

Not Correctly Executed:
1. No real Trigger (not at BB or no Swing)
   1. MRK - No Trigger at all.
   2. WLT - No Trigger or execution
   3.  MAN - No real Trigger

All these positions were long, but they failed in a rallying market.  They possess the potential to work really well, but they need to be executed exactly according to my criteria.

By valuing my entries better, I will be executing my trades exactly the way I wanted.  This is my lesson for the week.

2.  Allowed Original order to stay too long.

Discipline!...discipline!!....discipline!!!....is today's subject!!!!

Someone wrote this today.....and it occurred to me that to achieve discipline, one has to change one inner beliefs or else the internal struggle will lead to failure, or lack of discipline.
