I am pausing my real trading due to being not well capitalized and over leverage.  I need to be better capitalized to be able to trade in the way that I want to.  I will continue my simulation for the rest of the year to better understand my variables.     In addition, my fills in the options market has the potential to be manipulated by the option market makers.  06/26/2016

I am at home writing with my tough little girl and I am in heaven as I have been so many other times when I am in her presence.  She's an angel that was sent to be in my care and guidance.

I went to watch X-Men Apocalypse and I ended up walking out.  I think the movie above is better.

I was walking around Lake Phalen and I came across three people spreading and sharing the words of Christ and they emphasized the prayer.

The Prayer:

I know that I'm a sinner and I need your help.  I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is Your Son, that he died on the cross for my sins and God raised Him from the dead.  Jesus, right now I open my heart and invite You to come in.  Make yourself real to me.  Take control of my life.  Keep me from evil and make me the person you want me to be.  Be my lord and savior.

Your work is to discover your world and then with all your heart give yourself to it.

An insincere friend is more to feared than a wild beast. A wild beast may wound your body, but an insincere friend will wound your heart and mind.

- The Buddha

One of my favorite Zen stories.

Is That So?

The Zen master Hakuin was praised by his neighbours as one living a pure life.

A beautiful Japanese girl whose parents owned a food store lived near him. Suddenly, without any warning, her parents discovered she was with child.

This made her parents angry. She would not confess who the man was, but after much harassment at last named Hakuin.

In great anger the parent went to the master. "Is that so?" was all he would say.

After the child was born it was brought to Hakuin. By this time he had lost his reputation, which did not trouble him, but he took very good care of the child. He obtained milk from his neighbours and everything else he needed.

A year later the girl-mother could stand it no longer. She told her parents the truth - the real father of the child was a young man who worked in the fishmarket.

The mother and father of the girl at once went to Hakuin to ask forgiveness, to apologize at length, and to get the child back.

Hakuin was willing. In yielding the child, all he said was: "Is that so?"

My thoughts for the day (Part of the happiness equation)

I want to be:

1.       “Is that so?” which will lead to joy that never leaves and an understanding of purpose
2.       Live that that of the turtle
3.       The teachings given to an emperor or a king or an enlighten being or a being of the universe
4.       Always error on love, kindness, forgiveness, and compassion
a.       I want my thoughts and actions to reflect this.
5.       I want to be in balance with nature
a.       By taking care of my vehicle
b.      By taking care of my mind
6.       I want to have clarity and make my decisions on clarity for everyone involve, instead of desire based, I want process and system based
7.       I want my kids to become stronger than me so that they can continue to grow and be good for the world
8.       I want to build a better tomorrow for everyone
9.       I want to continue to grow by accepting differences and different ideas that I didn’t before

No Water, No Moon

When the nun Chiyono studied Zen under Bukko of Engaku she was unable to attain the fruits of meditation for a long time.

At last one moonlit night she was carrying water in an old pail bound with bamboo. The bamboo broke and the bottom fell out of the pail, and at that moment Chiyono was set free!

In commemoration, she wrote a poem:

In this way and that I tried to save the old pail
Since the bamboo strip was weakening and about
       to break
Until at last the bottom fell out.
No more water in the pail!
No more moon in the water!
