Electronic or kinetic powered cars have been gaining a lot of steam lately. Panasonic has just invested over a quarter billion dollars to invest in Telsa's technology and even in motorsports electric/kinetic powered cars are becoming more popular such as Formula E and Toyota and Porsche electric/kinetic powered sportscars. Even the new NSX is hybrid powered. It seems not too long from now I predict most cars will have some kind of kinetic, hybrid, or electric powered energy source in the cars. Diesel is dead in the water since VW lied about their MPG and other sources of power are years and years behind the technology of electric powered cars.
