Homeless veteran says couple who raised $400K for him are 'hypocritical,' won't give him money

A homeless man who helped out a woman with his last $20, and gained national fame for it, has spoken out just one day after a judge ordered the woman and her husband to turn over what's left of the money they raised in his name.

"I wish it didn't come to this," Johnny Bobbitt told ABC News affiliate WPVI in Philadelphia. "I hate that it came to this."

Bobbitt, a 35-year-old Marine Corps veteran who says he was living on the streets of Philadelphia, gave Kate McClure, 28, the last of the cash he had panhandled that day after she ran out of gas, she wrote on a GoFundMe page that she created on Nov. 10 last year.

The page ended up raising more than $400,000, according to the GoFundMe page.

With the money, McClure and her husband, Mark D'Amico, 39, bought Bobbitt a camper and parked it on land belonging to McClure's family, according to the Associated Press. He also received $25,000, which he spent in less than two weeks, the AP reported.

In June, Bobbitt says he ended up back on the streets after D'Amico told him he had to leave the property, the AP report...

Wrong Bobbitt but that homeless guy got a Lawyer n was able to get the rest of the money.

The reason why they gave him in chunk sum is because the guy is a medication addict.  It didn't say drug or weed but dude is addicted to another form of pills this why they don't give him the whole sum. 

Looks like the only winner here is GoFundMe.  They got 30k out of the 400k for their cut. 

Pure genius this GoFundMe n eBay n Facebook are all similar.  They just create the platform and the people do all the work for them.  Just like Cali n cherry form.  Why hire workers to pick the cherry when the customer can climb n do it themselves?  Pure genius n good business model to learn here folks.

Homeless Vet Will Get $400K in GoFundMe Donations Despite Couple's Alleged Fraud, Lawyer Says

What started as a good deed has turned into a headline-making criminal investigation after homeless veteran Johnny Bobbitt accused Kate McClure and her boyfriend Mark D’Amico of misusing the $400,000 they raised for him in a GoFundMe campaign.

Now, however, officials say Bobbitt will get all the money owed to him, despite recent news that the thousands of dollars are all gone.

“We reached an agreement today with GoFundMe and they have agreed to make sure he will be made whole,” one of Bobbitt’s attorneys, Chris Fallon, told CNN.

Well they should start another GoFundMe to get enough money to pay for lawyer fees in trying to reverse that. 

Then the homeless guys does the same.  It goes back and forth and lots of money involve so the real losers would be those who donate and got suck In on the scam from both sides.
