me and my wive, don't sit down and "plan" for vacation

so we just find great cheap last mintues deal

I personally would spend the extra money to get the best flight times and connections if I fly across the country. It's one of those things where I can say, been there done that. Connections in Chicago, new York, Atlanta, LA, are all horrible. I would avoid these places if possible. Also I have learned that on your return flights its always best to take the red eye flight. Better service and more bang for your buck deal.

I disagree with you on the "better service" part
all these first class, first boarding, preSCAN TSA,... is just pure BULLSHIT
you know, the kind that you can smell from miles

One time I go to vegas with my friends as a cheap skate in college with no money in my pocket.  Free car ride from them, stay in their room for free, I eat mcdees $1 sandwich to survive at first.  The when you go to all them casinos, you make a players card and they give you $5 to sometime $25 free to play their slots.  What you win, you cash out and it is yours.  I actually made enough to buy buffets on the trip and was able to go home with $400.  I can not do that again.  You see, once you make a players card with a casino, they got your id on file so you can not get another one as a fresh virgin player to get them free promo points perks to play them slots. 

Some don't give me money to play their slots.  Some gives me used deck of cards and shot glasses and tee shirt.  At the planet hollywood, I signed up and when I get 100 points slots on my card on the same day, free buffet.  With this, you hit up the machine roulette.  You bet both red and black and hoping that green doesn't come out.  Each spin is automatic free points. 

Those were good ol poor days.  Almost like playing the ghetto style but gaining experiences out of it.  I got like a big stack of players cards from different casinos on and off the strips as souvenir.  At least the trip was a mission though.  It was fun.
