People with Schizophrenia
« on: December 02, 2020, 03:01:11 AM »
My mother is getting old and she's suffering this kind of mental illness or you may call it as "Schizophrenia" this year of 2020.
Every night she would drag me to her bedroom and ask me if I see unusual things like blanket hovering around midair, creepy crawlers running on the bed, bugs crawling up and down on the walls, black moss stains on the kitchen floor. Actually there are none of those appear in front of me. She also ask my young brother I despise the most to see if he see what she see. Instead of kindly speak to her and help her understand there's nothing, he demean her behavior as she become afraid to voice out her emotion. My young, arrogant brother keep don't wanna deal with her sickness and wanna continue making fun of her weirdness. I told him that it's unwise to do that to our mother. He did accompany her to CVS Pharmacy and get the medication she needed to calm her down, however, it's not the right medicine to treat her mental illness. He refused to admit she's suffering Schizophrenia that I've google online. He refused to support her and seek professional help. The only people who willing and wanna help her through the dark times are me and my youngest brother (major in nurse). The rest of my siblings are just heartless and spineless. I know karma will eventually get them when they reach certain old age as my mother. They'll get the taste of their own medicine how to feel left alone and no one will acknowledge of their suffering.

Should I accompany my mother and seek help from any professional psychologists in my own term other than tagging along with my heartless siblings or should I ignore her mental problems and let her continue her craziness 4ever and ever?  ::) :(

In reality, I went through dark times as well. Because of that I was diagnosed with severely depression. This type of depression is ten times damaging and scarier than my mother's Schizophrenia episodes. What I did I do when I got depression? (1) I went seek some professional helps, but their methods were not strong enough to beat my depression. A little it did help me get me back on my feet again and do the things I normal love. (2) Actually "self-mediation" was only method that took me five years to go through rough internal cleaning both soul and body. It does help getting rid of negative thoughts and energies. Even though evil spirits continue to haunt me during sleeping and leisure times, self-mediation prevent them getting into my system. As long as travel afar, racist mofos will always release their whiny negative vibes on me, self-mediation will always be there for me to use.  O0

hey bro..
thanks for sharing man

my advice to you is do paper for your mom
and see if you can become a personal care taker
you will received anywhere from $400-1000 per month
for taking care of your mom, make it worthwhile and still generate income

2nd advice
if you have guns, knife and stuff
put them in a safe, lock it up
don't want them to harm themselve

Having gone through this personally, here's my advice;

1. If not already, have your mother evaluated. Mental health, especially in our community, is under diagnosed, under reported and under managed. Get a professional opinion and help before seeking any answers on your own.

2. Unless you're willing to work less than full-time or you straight up LIE, you're not going to get much as a caretaker for your mother. Of course, that's not to say some people don't scam the system...*cough cough*

To a degree. You have to meet specific requirements. I'm under the assumption Visualmon works full time. He himself would not qualify. However, if you qualify, you're only given a certain number of hours and some agencies frown upon immediate family taking on that caretaker role. Do the research yourself before you take what anonymous people on the internet say as gospel. Remember someone pays for these services. It ain't money appearing out of thin air.

my sister does 2nd shift full-time and takes care of her mother-in-law during daytime
take her to doctor appointment and stuff...
so it's doable
maybe depending on  your state???
i don't know

this route will give you some income and incentive
or you can go THEKING's route
and put his mother in the hospice care .... ease the burden
up to you

Or you can go hmgLIAR's "route" by leeching off his "mother" by staying in her basement and asking her to spoon feed him so he can play COD with zero contribution to the household...Th en he treats his "mother" like trash by trying to kick her out of her own home..

Firstly, thank you for sharing your story and your personal struggles with us. Secondly, I am truly sorry to hear about your mother’s situation and the concerns and frustrations you must feel.

If your mother is as sick as you indicated, you should get her evaluated by a specialist immediately. I am not saying your diagnosis is incorrect, but if I were you, I would want confirmation. If in fact, your mom does have mental problems, the specialist came help with getting her the correct drugs and point you towards any help she needs or is entitled. My point is, don’t guess on what she has... get confirmation.

As far as your family is concerned.. I am sorry they are such assh***s. If what you’re saying is true, You should do all You can to help your mother. I would not rely or expect help from them. You need to have a “ I am on my own mentality “ and don’t be disappointed if none of your family lifts a finger to help. Personally, if it was my mother, I would take care of her and do whatever I can for my mother regardless of any external help.

Good luck and best wishes.

you straight up LIE

Remember someone pays for these services. It ain't money appearing out of thin air.

Keep in mind you're talking to the FRAUD that has no problem going "underground" to steal from the poor and then "make fun" of them by giving them "spoilage" food..

HmgRock, you should post sincere, honest topics; don't just post anything.
Maybe I should hire a dumbest person on the planet to argue with him. hmgROCK is definitely hired for the job.
