Glad Hmong as whole curbed this down because it's not worth the registration

..Reading stories like this reminds me of 70s, 80s and 90s when there were quiet a bit of grown adult Hmong men with the help of their families bought underage Hmong girls to be their wife by way of bride-napping, eloping or talking to the girl's parents. And of course the marriage can't be legal because they were fully aware that it's illegal for an adult to engage in these type of behaviors with a minor that's several years younger than them (consensual or not). In the U.S. the youngest Hmong girl I saw getting married was 13 years old, same age as the kid in the story below. This was back in the 80s.

A former Titusville Middle School gym teacher has been sentenced to state prison and lifetime registration as a sex offender for sexually assaulting a then-13-year-old boy who was one of her students.
