Dreams are medicines?
« on: May 19, 2021, 08:55:18 AM »
I have been coughing for three days and  I pretty tired. So, I have planned to get tested for Covid-19 later today.

But last night I dreamed that I was in a country whose language I couldn't understand. People there couldn't
understand English, either, so we acted by gestures. Three security guards in this town came towards me in their
blue-white suits and greeted me with smiles. We tapped fists as handshakes and they went away. One pointed
that there were more coming to greet me.

A whole line of guards came towards me but seemed to either hate me or didn't care to handshake. So, they turned away
without touching me.

A friend of mine interpreted this dream to mean that my test will be negative.

We'll find out later today.

No. Not until later today.

But I'm not afraid of this thing. I'm pretty fit and healthy and I've been eating mostly just wild foods for the last three years, so I'm sure I can fight it if I got it.

But first Pfizer shot coming this afternoon.

Before that, I'm going to test to see if my friend is right about my dream.

Over the years, I've come to realize that dreams are nothing more than what's on your mind when you doze off.  Things you dream about are things that's been going through your mind, but in your sleepy state, those things get twisted as your logic goes to mush so it can morph into a storyline that's both weird and unexplainable when you're awake.  That's why kids who watch horror flicks get nightmares.  It's on their mind.

If you're sick, I don't think they allow you to get the shot.

Your dream probably means beware of the law.

Good luck.

There are some dreams I woke up in cold sweat and there are dreams I don’t particularly want to wake from. Of all my dreams, 99.99% are quickly forgotten. I love the late nights, go so quickly to morning every day. Dreaming/sleeping is medicinal in my book.

In this particular dream, I dreamt that two king cobras were loose inside the house and I must stop it before someone was bitten. I was able to grab both cobras in my children room but one cobra was able to strike me before waking up. That was about three months ago. Why I remembered this dream among many is beyond me. My wife entertained the idea that I was having an affair for about a minute then we laughed.

Thanks. I'll be careful with the law. Perhaps that predicted what already happened yesterday? I was driving on Maryland Avenue in St. Paul going west. I came to an intersection. It was a 30 mph road. The oncoming cars were stopping for a pedestrian to walk through the  cross walk. I could have just driven right through on my side. But I chose to stop. So I made a jerky slow-down to a stop. The car right behind me had to stop quickly, too, and he had to turn to the curb on the right to avoid hitting me.

Turned out, that was a squad car! But I wasn't afraid because I had the pedestrian making his way from the left.

I wasn't stopped for anything after that.  The cop followed me for about a mile or so and I kept my speed to the limit. So, he finally turned right onto Highway 35E north and away from me.

I knew that cop has mixed feelings about this: to cite me for jerky stop but then realizing I was doing the right thing for the cross-walk.

You're right that they won't let me get the shot if I'm sick. I'm not sick but the testing people said today that they wouldn't let me take the shot until  I'm found to be negative. In 24 to 48 hours I should have the test results.

Elders say either your wife or your girlfriend is pregnant if a snake bites you in a dream.

I'm sure that's always the case. I mean...wouldn't people always dream lucky just be fantasizing about sexual romances then? Can't always have a Liu Yifei in your dream if you fantasize things with her.

You're still an elaborate story teller after all these years.

Glad you didn't get stopped and nothing bad happened to you.

Even though you're not sick, having a chronic cough can cause reactions to vaccines, so they're taking those precautions. Feel better sir.
