Bro... that's not Laos old school style.... You need to clear the grass in the backyard to make a fire spot, take some wood and start a fire... once the fire dies down a bit, throw your meat on there. No metal grill, no premade charcoal, not metal grill... that's true old school Laos/Hmong style.
That's just modern grilling with salt on the meat... I mean, that's how I do it too.
