NextDoor...what I've learned by going there

If you're unfamiliar with NextDoor it's a social site where people post the goings-on in their community, neighborhood, city and whatnot. It's a great way to find out about things that you might have missed, like townhall meetings, new developments, police reports, etc. And also very helpful if you need to hire a reputable plumber, gardener, electrician and whatnot. You can also sell or buy stuff, too or post up missing pets, etc.

I typically go there to get more information and details about developments, taxes, and such things. It's nice to have professionals in their area of expertise to clarify things like TIFs, and other legal matters.

But anyhoo...

Liberals are so stupid. It doesn't matter if they're rich or poor. All dumb the same. The rich just have money to fund their stupidity.

There was this city that was complaining about the crime. People posted up screenshots from their RING cameras of juveniles breaking into their cars, homes, stores, etc.

"Watch out for these teens, they tried to break into my husband's car last night."

These kind of threads always garner a lot of responses and it's all the same:

"Why aren't the cops doing anything?"
"We need to clean up the city."
"These thugs never face consequences."
"The city is getting so bad."

yadda yadda yadda

But it never dawns on them that keeping liberals (Democrats) in power and constant preaching how everything is a result of racism, etc. these people know not what they do, blah blah blah IS THE VERY THING THAT SPAWNS THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOR.

Needless to say, I hear parents and leaders demand a "quality education" for the children all the time in their school district. lol

First, what is their definition of a "quality education" because it's a fact that they're the ones running it. So if they're dissatisfied then perhaps they should look at themselves.

I just laugh when Bernie Sanders demands that every child deserves a "quality education". Because to him, that means a woke liberal curriculum - which isn't working and is the very reason why the kids can't read.

BUT YET, these liberals are demanding a "quality education" that is riddled with wokeism. Well, that's what we currently have and the kids have never been more stupid.

So recently, a very woke liberal city finally got around to demolishing some abandoned commercial properties that have been a huge burden for the past decade: movie theater, miniature golf, small amusement park, mall, plaza strips, and whatnot. These zones invited a lot of illegal activities, crime, etc. The mayor is relieved and the residents are ecstatic about the potential of these zones.

I laugh. Why?

Because their answers are ridiculous.

One lady said she'd like to see more "family" type businesses to give the kids something to enjoy.
One man said he'd like to see opportunity zones for businesses to come in.

What the hell do these people think the old businesses were? Is a mall, amusement park, miniature golf NOT family type businesses? Is a strip mall not an opportunity zone for vendors?

These things did not survive because of the crimes. IF THE CITY DOESN'T DO SOMETHING TO STOP THE CRIME THEN NO BUSINESSES CAN EXIST. NO OPPORTUNITY ZONES CAN EXIST.

do for them; they ask what they can do for the schools.

Parents are willing to build schools for their entire communities
to really have a quality place for education. From there,
quality education is a pressure on the schools.

But then I know that even with just sitting on a stump to discuss
ideas like that toddler and I have been doing, there's quality education
without a formal building.
