...you'll quickly realize that the majority of these programs are wasteful and unnecessary. Furthermore, they are managed inefficiently. And to make matters worse, they overlap. Therefore, they are redundant and again, the operative word here is "wasteful spending" of tax dollars.

The only people who really care are the executive officers and directors whose paychecks depend on the existence of these organizations and programs. I KNOW THIS FOR A FACT. Oh yeah, and people who need to feel like they're a good person and making a change in the world. lol

If these were for profit companies, most of them would already be out of business. lol

If Dems are so worried about corporate greed and corruption, then they should have a closer look into non-profits. That's where it's at big time.

This is why I stopped giving and donating to a lot of organizations because I realized they overlap too much AND was only encouraging people to become total freeloaders. How many coats, toys, and school supplies can a family apply for? Apparently, all of them, it seems because I know and see families who do this.

I still remember during COVID, EBT recipients got an increase AS IF THEY WOULD BE EATING MORE just because it was COVID.  ::) ::) ::) ::)  Some families actually got $1000-2000 increase per month to what they were already receiving.  ::) ::) ::) ::) In addition, Hunger Task Force set up mobile trucks at schools, non-profits, etc. too, so these families were also going there for food. LOTS OF FOOD. Like where they load up 5 gallons of milk, 20 lb bag of potatoes, 10 lbs of grapes, etc. into your RAV 4 because they have to get rid of it.

These families are very greedy, too, because even though they would NEVER eat up all that food within the month, they wouldn't share it with relatives who aren't eligible for EBT. I get it, you're not suppose to but seeing that these folks are already corrupt anyways, you'd think they would share. After all, many of them get sad when their working relatives don't gift them things.  ::)

Anyways, I remember shopping at a grocery store and there was a young Hmong wife, probably a mos ab, who had two full carts of food. She had all the good stuff like family-size Nestle Drumstick ice cream, beef ribs, Tide laundry detergent, etc. And more than one pack, too. She was obviously trying to use up all the funds before the month was over. And she wasn't the only one. Lots of black and brown people had their carts full of this stuff, too.

It had actually created a shortage in the grocery store. And do you think these consumers were going to buy an extra box of the good ice cream to share with nieces and nephews? Do you think they grabbed an extra pack of beef ribs to gift to a relative who isn't eligible for EBT?

OF COURSE NOT.

Low-income people are some of the greediest folks I know whenever they come into abundance. They hoard it all to themselves knowing that they may not even use all of it.

yes there is a sham business in the NPO's too.

It's either 1 person trying to do good and 9 other people are shaming the system.  Or sometims 9 people trying to do good and 1 person totally pulling the wool over everyone's eyes.   :D

If anyone tries to actually make another person do the right thing in the NPO's as in trying to fix broken processes, then they will all suddenly try to pin all the shams on that one person as if...unfortuna tely the majority of the money is wasteful.  The shammers are plenty and they want to keep eating their meat.  They are very well protecting their sources and methods.

There is a Hmong mockumentary in Youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFEl3oGk6YA

Not really sure what the message is but my impression is that they are poking fun at Hmong NPOs. Many of the programs offered are complete nonsense and not much of a demand in the Hmong community. But these directors who have worked in non-profits are aware of where all the money exists so they create programs to pay themselves. Just like HOME HEALTH CARE. The Hmong are onto the game and in the last decade we've seen dozens of them spring up in our cities.

For example, I have at least a dozen relatives who opened a home healthcare.  ;D

During al the BLM raucous, I went on the TJMaxx website and it proudly stated how they gave to black-owned non-profits. They listed these organizations. I laughed because I bet the majority of blacks, especially those is densely populated areas, don't have a clue that these organizations exist.

I thought, "wow, all these organizations that are supposed to help black entrepreneurs, education, etc. and yet black communities are some of the poorest and claim nobody is helping them?"

I concluded that the only people really benefitting from TJ Maxx donations were the people running these organizations because their own people don't know about them. lol

It also annoyed me because when you pay at the checkout lane, the cashier asks if you want to make a donation to St. Jude. So for them to help St. Jude, customers have to elect that? But the proceeds from sales just automatically go to these black organizations that nobody knows about and doesn't use?

Last fall I was shopping at a store and the cashier asked if I wanted to round up my purchase. The proceeds were going to buy school supplies for low-income students. I said "NO".

Let's just say that I'm very tied to people who work in the school district. Every school year they get thousands of school supplies donated to them from all sorts of places. Maybe this store was one of them. Anyways, the school district isn't the only place handing out free backpacks and school supplies. Radio stations were hosting their own donations. Churches were doing the same. ETC. ETC. ETC.

I know families who were hitting up all the places in order to get school supplies.  ::) ::) ::) ::)

How many boxes of crayon does one child need?

The school central office has so many supplies that they don't know what to do with the leftovers but stash them away. Often times when they get these donated items, they don't have staff to disburse them. Especially big inner city school district. They sit there and collect dust.

The parents do this at Christmas time, too. They sign up at Salvation Army AND United Way. Both have collaborated in the Angel Tree program. It's not like Salvation keeps a list of who is already signed up so they can't be eligible for United Way.

Same thing with food banks.

One time I was invited by the county to attend a summit meeting. The purpose was to have all non-profits brainstorm how they can efficiently and effectively get the message out to the community about their program. Oh my, there was everything from free transportation, to food banks, health services, adult day programming, tech assistance, etc. You name it, they got it.

At this rate, does a person ever have to even do anything for themselves?

 ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

Hopefully DOGE can get rid of some of these things. For one thing, they weren't even doing a good job at letting the people know that they exist so there were literally organizations receiving funds to do nothing. The president of some of these NPOs get six figure salary and so does the CFO. Meanwhile, coordinators are lucky to make $32k per year.  ::)

There are very few NPOs that are needed and actually doing a good job. The best ones are those who can get funding from private donors and foundations in addition to government funding.

The rest are just horrible and if you've worked in NPO and have been to these summit meetings or fairs, YOU KNOW JUST HOW BS THE MAJORITY OF THEM ARE.
