What do you see FEMA as?

FEMA's main role is to distribute aid... not a federal disaster first responder. That's the job of the state... pay for disaster with their budget and be the first responder. Many people has the wrong idea, they all think that FEMA is a fed first responder agency.

Did you not see the corruption revealed with the disaster in the East Coast where victims with Trump/MAGA signs were told to be ignored and only concentrate the help on those that don't have it? A FEMA employee was fired for it and she claimed this was a top down directive to do so.

Trump only entertained the idea of shutting FEMA down... he says that the gov't could directly pay the state that are affected instead of handing the fund to FEMA... without all the bureaucracy involved.
