FYI...my bf ran into this and emailed it to me, so I just wanted to share w/you:
--> FREE NOTEBOOK OR TABLET if you have a defective HP/Compaq DEADLINE: MARCH 14, 2011 (that's 2 days from today)
Don't have much time left so here's the skinny on this free deal, courtesy of NVIDIA:
1. YOU MUST own one or more notebooks or tablets in this list (copy and paste -
http://www.nvidiasettlement.com/affectedmodels.html
). If you do, then you qualify to receive either a notebook (for existing notebook owners) or tablet or notebook (for existing tablet owners)
2. YOU MUST submit your claim here (copy and paste -
https://roscomps3.securesites.net/www.nvidiasettlement.com/claimform.php
) by MARCH 14, 2011
KEEP THIS IN MIND
NVIDIA and the plaintiff's counsels are trying to RIPOFF the HP class members by offering inferior replacement products in direct violation of the court approved settlement language.
Certain HP Class members are working with The Center for Class Action Fairness to fight for a fair replacement(s).
If we lose, we all get craptops (better than nothing); If we win, you get a new notebook/table that is comparably equipped to your defective notebook/tablet (awesome).
AFTER submitting your claim, please visit
http://FAIRnvidiasettlement.com
and complete an online declaration (all free) to support our collective effort. This site is privately funded by me and ABSOLUTELY HAS NO ADS OR AFFILIATE LINKS.
Even if you don't own a defective HP/Compaq, please let your family and friends know what's going on. Even if you can get just one more person to file, I would greatly appreciate it.
Based on what the settlement administrator has claimed, NVIDIA is expecting only 1% of the affected population to submit their claims against NVIDIA's $490M+ reserve fund dedicated for repair/replacement programs.
To boot, plaintiff's lawyers have already received $13 MILLION IN FEES, while submitting court filings AGAINST the wishes of HP Class.
Friends don't let other friends get screwed by large corporations and law firms.
