who else's computer is having this problem

...blue screen popping up with details of problem then shuting down and restarting.

Anyone else having this problem too?

so youre getting a BSOD? Does this happen at a certain time? Say anytime you start up a program? or how does it happen?

I got a buddy of mine labtop is doing that. I've tried system restore and the problem still exist. I got tired of it so i back up his files and do a clean install.

worked good? ...

probably one of the best solutions to the BSOD, it usually has to do with a software and hardware conflict

Blue screen of death!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL. Tsk tsk. If it only started happening, I would recommend a system restore.

It happens everyonce in a while, it has slow down a bit now.  As I understand, it's also trying to proctect your computer too right by doing that?

If you have a dell, try their hardware diagnostic tests to see if it's hardware.  I think it's F12 or maybe F2 at start up.

yeah but it doesnt solve anythign, back everything up and reinstall windows, probably the best bet you have unless you want to do some diffcult tasks that might not even solve it

sure, but, dont be mad if it happens again and you lose stuff, eventually you'll have to do it

just go the mem test route and find your hard drive brand and download their hard drive diagnostic tool

Why don't you just look at BSOD error code.... it would help narrow down and possible pin point the problem.

and dont forget, certain viruses can cause your system to crash too.  I recently got a rootkit onto my wife's laptop and it kept bluescreening.

that's right yax!  hhahaha


might wanna download the rootkit killer by kaspersky just incase.  that virus causes your system to keep rebooting with BSOD... even after you do a system restore...
