It's really up to you. I love small laptop for portability. But when at work, I prefer more bigger screen. Currently I have a macbook pro 15inch retina and i think it is the perfect size. But it is cheap. My work place bought it for me.
at least you got it for free...i was just thinking about portability because my current weighs too much to carry it around at all times...don't want to brake my baby...
then portability is more important than size and performance.we all have different needs. don't let other's preference decide for you. it is best you actually get to touch it and play around with it. you should stop by best buy or some store and look at the model you are considering buying.
To me, if portability was the reason I wanted another laptop, I wouldn't worry about screen size (resolution), because monitors are cheap these days, and you can just plug into them. I think the most important part of a laptop is the processor.
