new Ipad

Help! Just purchased a new Ipad. However, the cord that came along with it doesn't charge my Ipad when connected thru USB port. Works on AC adapter - does it take forever to charge an Ipad?? It seems like it takes longer to charge the Ipad than my Iphone. what gives....

The USB  won't charge it fast but it will trickle charge it. Even though it will say not charged. The charge time on the ipad via ac adapter will take a few hours. You are talking a massive battery in comparison to iPhone.

Yea.. All iPads. And no, the  new cords won't speed up the process. Fully charged ipad should last you about 8-10hrs of usages.

Speed charge has been documented to shorted the battery life. Most people advocate trickle charge for life of the battery. I have all the different series of the iPads and the ipad 1 still hold its charge pretty good.
