I don't know much about the Federal system.
TheAfterLife, in my opinion, instead of wishing and hoping for a leader that will lead our people, we need to be leaders ourselves. Instead of being a bystander and talking about how things could be, start taking actions to make your ideas a reality. Too many people talk and hope that things will change but nobody stands up and does anything about it.
We as Hmong should encourage and support each other.
I have no interest in politics but my personal challenge when I was younger I used to hate how Hmong people were because I saw that many of us didn't know how to love each other. Don't get me wrong, I love Hmong people, I really wanted us to get along and advance as well as other Asians. In the military, I was around a lot of Filipino and saw how much they help each other. Even if they were complete strangers! They will help that person like family. They even call each other Brother and Sister. I was so jealous that other Hmong people in the military didn't even talk to me even if I said Hi, and they just act like we're strangers. It's a shame.
But now that I am wiser, I know that I can only change myself. I will show my Hmong brothers and sisters kindness and love because I am okay with myself. If they don't like me or misunderstand me, I will wish them well. It's only human nature for people to have feelings like hate, love, fear, etc.
