Well, Windows 9 was so great that it skips to 10. I don't know what is wrong with Microsoft but the only reason they released 10 was because in 10 there is a start button....!!! :D Like Microsoft devoted themselves to put back the start icon/button for people who don't like Windows 8 and 8.1...

Windows 9 is worse than 8 so MS decided to trash 9 and jump right into 10.

The decision to skip a version is a marketing ploy.

Windows 98 = success
Windows ME = flop
Windows XP = success
Windows Vista = flop
Windows 7 = success
Windows 8 = flop
Because of this, MS is skipping windows 9 all-together and going straight to windows 10. It's just all marketing crap.

Anyhow, I really don't care about Windows 10 when Windows 7 works fine for me. Not like it's going to make me more productive.

When the time comes, Windows will stop giving support to Windows 7 just like Windows Server 2008 r2 and Windows XP users.

The day MS stops supporting Windows 7 won't be for many years. By the time that day comes, I'm sure we'll be into Windows 12 by then, and then I'll surely upgrade.
