Single people be giving their single friend an ugly @ss looking person to be in a relationship with; however those same people would not give their single friends the person that isn't an ugly @ss looking to be in a relationship?

it's all perspective. You can look at it the other way and say I gave my ugly friend a good looking friend to be in a relationship with because I'm a true friend.
