khaus ve mav nee
« on: December 31, 2020, 01:57:56 PM »
Technically it’s called the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021... but the older Hmongs know it as COVID money.

Now that it is here... for those fortunate enough to receive it, what’s your plan for it?

Bills? All too common.
A night of alcohol and hot sex?
Stashed away for an emergency?
Down payment on a new Tacoma?
Money for the young honey overseas?

What’s?!?!

When the first one was issued, I was excited about it. But it turned out, I didn't qualify for it.

I'm not too crazy about this second round. :2funny: :2funny:

Hahaha, same here. I need to get marry and have a kid.

Seriously, I am just glad it’s out and those who are hurting can get a little relief.

In America, you either need to be super well off or super poor. If you're stuck in the middle class, most help aren't available to you. Don't misunderstand me, I am grateful for what I have. I have a good paying job that I like and I have a home I can afford... but as you pointed out, this last stimulus check and the original one, a lot of middle class people did not get it.

In states where the cost of living is high, like CA and NY, making 100k a year is barely making it.

Glad to hear, I am sure she can use it too.

Yep, that's me "middle class", but I'm thankful for what I have now coming from Laos, the refugee camp in Thailand and the projects here. Those things don't determine my future/path but I do so I've worked hard over the years and now I'm financially stable, have about $300k in liquid assets, living well based on my standards.  O0

But yeah, being in the middle class, "most help" or services aren't available to us. I didn't qualify for the initial $1200 stimulus relief fund but thankfully, I don't need it so I just hope they get these funds and/or services to those that really need it the most.
