If you sell early on red day, you will still lose but you are protecting yourself from losing even further.  Once a bottom support is reached, you can go ahead and buy in for a better average.   If early morning is a pop, you keep it and set a stop limit if you may.  If it activated for a sell, wait till the market is about to close and hoping for some pull back so you can buy in for the low again and hold till next day to see if there is any afterhour news for a pop or a dip.  So in 1 day, you can sell, either red or green and buy back in at closing which tends to be a pull back.  This will protect your lost cuz you can be up 20% at opener and by the end of the day, only up 5%.  Seen it happened one too many times.

if red, take money out or don't buy and wait for the bottom support.   Take money and play where the green is at.  I'm long with fsr, I on her for 2 years till that suv comes out.  I'm just waiting for the right time to get back in.  I'm not giving up on a golden opportunity.  While I waited,  I'm green on penny popper.  If you not making money off your main stock, jplay something else.  Gotta be a green stock out there on a red market today.
