My suggestions;

Dong Yang Oriental Foods
Hmongtown Marketplace (originally the Como Ave Hmong Market)
Checker Bar
IKEA (across the Mall of America)

Some of those vendors are shady. The golden pompano's they sell are sometimes old and they overseason it to hide the fact that it's very poor quality.

We were looking for blue crabs, rock crabs, dungenous crabs, or any types of crabs (except claps), but no one was selling it.   :'(

Claps is available down on Lake Street.

Otherwise everything else gets shipped to MN so not really the best place to be looking for seafood of any sort.

 :2funny: :2funny:  it's just a couple of asian stores and Hmong village.  I was at that Hmong place with all the fruits too.  Got some yellow dragon fruit.  Those were the best!

Yeah, this one place advertised live dungenous crabs but the tanks were all empty.  But.. Lake Street, you say?

Lake Street and 3rd.

Ask for a guy named Tank and he'll introduce you to some sellers. They have Claps, Chlams and whatever you want.

As for the fruit vendors, I'm just waiting on the Snow/White Peaches.

I will say this.  The oranges in the midwest are not as tasty as in Cali.  We get the freshest oranges and they're tree ripened.  The ones there were probably picked partly green and ripened on their way over because there's so little juice.

The Cara Cara oranges are supposed to be very sweet, but in the Midwest, they're kinda sour.
