White bass will bite on St. Croix from usually the first/second week of April and onwards.

Problem is people tend to fish community spots and those spots will be hot usually in about two/three weeks later onwards.  That's usually when the fish schools much more together.  It's also when the baitfish congregate much closer to shorelines too.

As usually I just only play with my fishing pole and lures, so no fish pictures to show.  Everyone has already seen pictures of fish already.

If one fishes the Mississippi like on some of the southern MM/WI, fish would've been caught around last two weeks of March timeframe onward.  One can even still catch trout while the water is still cold.

About 15 to 20 years ago, the only white bass I take were selectively the one's that measured 20 inches and up.  So I only need like ten fish at most.  Now it's very rare to even find one that's 20 inches.  The big ones are now probably considered 17 to 19 inches range since people take every fish they catch.  This impacts the resource when the fish can't breed.

you guys gotta travel 1-2 hour out of the city
go someplace wild

also..

you gotta check when the DNR release the fish into the pond and lakes
fish are spawn, farm, and than release
unfortunately

Fishing is hard
And really expensive

If all you want to do is eat fish
Just buy it at the store

I saw some nice fillet tilapia at walmart
The big bag one
Probably like 20 of them for $10
