Are you still friends with your ex... former husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend?? Why and why not?

I considered a couple of my ex-girlfriends' "friend". When we broke up years ago, it was a mutual decision to be friends and we continue to be friends. When I say "friends", I mean we still stay in touch from time to time and attend each other family's event and such.

My wife, daughter, and I attended one of my ex-girlfriend's father's 75th birthday about a year ago after receiving an invite. After dating for some time, I also got to know her parents and siblings as she got to know mine so it's all good.

I'm not friends with my exes.  I think it's better that way.  Wish them well and happy lives but I'm not interested in being friends with them.

For the longest time, my ex wife and I did not speak to each other... and if we did, communication was done thru our lawyers. But as the lawyer fees started to piled up, it seem we needed to find a way to be civil with each other.

I just don't know if there will be a day where we will see eye to eye, there's just too many things we differ on. I wouldn't consider my ex my friend, but at least we are on talking terms.

To me, there is a reason for break ups... being a friend meant there's till love between us. For us, whatever love that existed between us in the past, we both killed it.

Is your wife aware of the prior relationship?

To each their own.

For myself, I needed a clean break.

I was lucky enough not to run into exes and ohs.

Well I did one time and the gal could not leave me alone.  It was at a club for crying out loud and her new friends in a new city came up to me and say ... so you're that guy she been talking about blah blah blah...

yup, she can't move on and if I was a nasty dog, I'll go bow wow, turn over, lift that skirt and let me hit it one more time and she will allow me but will scissor my azz to give her our child and trap me for the next 18 years.  No lie, I still think about her import booty from the doggy position though.  Just like looking at a bone folks.   :2funny:

Besides that, no way friendship for me.  The sex will be in the way.   :2funny:
