Unison Restaurant and Banquet Hall
« on: May 10, 2021, 12:27:57 PM »
I was there this past weekend and it was crowded, no social distance, no mask wearing (very very few)

https://www.unisonrestaurant.com/

I'm keeping my fingers crossed and will be monitoring myself for the next several days.

An old PH friend and I met there on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.  for lunch. I gave him a gift and then
a third friend popped in and gave both of us a gift: he paid for our foods and beers.

I learned something new. There's a beer called Poj Laib that's secretive to those who know of it only. Gotta know how to order it or the bartender won't tender it.

Food was meh. No flavor whatsoever.

And yes, packed to the brim on occasion with no masks.

I was there later in the evening.  I do not know how busy it was during the day but it was packed at night.  The banquet hall had an event going on and not many folks were wearing mask there as well.  I was surprised..

I’ve never eaten inside the restaurant but have ordered takeout/delivery.  There are some dishes that are ok and others not.  I’m limited on takeout/delivery options, so they’re adequate to what I need/crave at times.  ;D

We were invited to it, but we had to attend our individual Mother's Day celebrations with our mothers.

The banquet was to celebrate a guy named Pang Mang's 72nd birthday.

I was there later in the evening.  I do not know how busy it was during the day but it was packed at night.  The banquet hall had an event going on and not many folks were wearing mask there as well.  I was surprised..

Many people who have had their vaccines think they are invincible without masks.

That's irresponsible. I hope people had their vaccines.

Food wasn't that great this night.  I'm thinking they must be short staff in the kitchen because of the big event taking place in the banquet hall and crowds in the bar/restaurant area.  Nice place though.  Do go and support the business.  Owner is very nice to us.

I agree but that does nothing. I learned to stop worrying and let evolution take care of itself.

That could be it too.  The service is also slower when they have events going on.....but the staff is really nice, which makes up for it.  I always try to support local and small businesses, if possible.   O0

Foods was not great and not recommending it at all.  The papaya salad was the one dish that I like.

I wish they would change their restroom labels to "Men" and "Women." Keeping those as "Boys" and "Girls" make me feel like I'm back in junior high school when using the restroom.
