Nice to see people in shorts during winters even the chickens are enjoying the sunshine. What was the crowd waiting for?  Good stuff and thanks for sharing.

You're welcome!

They're waiting to get a photo with this buoy:

It's as busy as the Las Vegas sign if not more so:

The city of Key West protects the chickens — you can't just grab one and make it into your Sunday dinner — but it did hire an official Chicken Catcher in 2004 in an attempt to reduce the population without killing any birds.

Quote
The chickens found in Key West are descendants of the jungle fowl that was originally found throughout the Caribbean, including Cuba. Early settlers in Key West had a normal relationship with their chickens, keeping them in coups and using them for food.

So they're protected.  I wouldn't be surprised if one or two end up on someone's dinner plate, really ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D  Also, I imagine fresh eggs....laying around.

They look similar to Asian fighting chickens.

Must've seen 20 of these sandal outlet stores along the Keys but their prices aren't really outlet prices IMO:

If you want to save a little bit of money, fuel up first before you go into the Keys and the farther you go in, the more expensive gas is. The gas in Homestead and Miami were at least a dollar less per gallon compared to the ones in Key West:

Homestead

Miami

Versus:

Key West
