Since you're still a greenhorn and haven't traveled far enough to California, Sacramento has a flat terrain and its elevation is so low for snow to drop. There's no mountains or high hills nearby. A place like Mount Shasta where me and my family used to skiing and snowboarding do have a lot of snow. Other places like Mount Baldy in Orange County, Palm Springs in San Jacinto, Big Bear and Lake Arrowhead in San Bernardino, Mount Laguna in San Diego do have snow.
