Agree that this is the solution to lowering gas prices

..but not going to happen any time soon based on what I've seen recently from my travels. People are still pumping at a good rate:

"I think the only thing that's going to make a dent in gasoline or jet fuel prices is demand destruction," Vectis Energy Partners principal Tamar Essner said on Yahoo Finance Live after being asked when gas prices may drop below $4 a gallon (video above). "So we have to push higher until we get to that point."

Consumers are beginning to see some pressure taken off their wallets when making their stop at the local gas pump, with the average price of regular unleaded gasoline dropping for the third straight week last week, but prices remain exorbitant as drivers haven't pulled back aggressively on travel.

Like how they say to conserve your water usage.  If 99% of the population does this then you will get the result.

the demand is always there cuz we need gas to go to work...

it's the SUPPLY

daddy OPEC ain't pumping up oil
oil are bought and sold on future market
these oil are bought wayyyy before
maybe months

we should start to see it go down in the up coming month
hopefully end of year

Water is not a need.  During the drought, a few cities were able to bond together to help conserve water.  Our grasses died though but we helped out to reach the goal.

OPEC is upping their pump
