..brides I've seen in Laos when I lived there. A few of the Hmong brides there were as young as 10. But then forget a third-world like Laos back in the 70s as brides as young as 10 still exist here in America as present time as 2021:

A 10-year-old was forced to cross state lines for an abortion after Ohio's ban went into place. The Indiana doctor who helped her will soon be unable to assist others.

A 2021 study found that nearly 300,000 children — age 17 and under — were married in the United States from 2000 to 2018. An overwhelming majority were 16- or 17- year-old girls, on average marrying a man four years older. But more than 1,000 were 14 or younger, and five were only 10 years old.

Man Accused of Impregnating Ten-Year-Old Ohio Girl Indicted on Rape Charges

The undocumented immigrant who allegedly impregnated a 10-year-old girl — forcing her to cross state lines to get an abortion after Roe v. Wade was overturned — was indicted on rape charges Thursday.

The indictment against Gerson Fuentes revealed that the alleged rape victim was just 9 years old when she was molested — contrary to previous reports saying she was 10 at the time she had her pregnancy terminated.

The girl’s case became a lightning rod in the national debate over abortion rights, with President Biden publicly invoking the child’s plight to highlight the detrimental effects of the Supreme Court’s 6-3 decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Pro-life activists and some politicians raised doubts about the 10-year-old’s tale of rape, unwanted pregnancy and out-of-state abortion — first reported by the Indianapolis Star — until Fuentes was arrested on July 12 and made his initial court appearance the next day.

Fuentes, a native of Guatemala living in the US illegally, is scheduled to be arraigned on the new charges next Monday.
