No layoffs yet but a hiring freeze. I work for one of the biggest furniture company in the US. When covid-19 hit, we didn't slow down slow down like most places. I'm in a position were they can't afford to lose me. My experience and work ethics makes me an asset. Also, all the managers knows me and they like cars too
Yep, we didn't slow down at all when covid hit. Actually, we were so behind on orders that each unit that left the assembly line was already sold. Could not make enough unit for customers.
However, 4th quarter of this year we started with hiring freeze for salary and now moving to layoff of hourly by 1st quarter of 2023. Investment (capital projects) sunk by half this coming year to only $2mills for the plant. We're moving more products to Mexico and building a new manufacturing plant there.
