Hamas is a terrorist group, plain and simple.
You know a government is horrible when it's people are fleeing the country. Jews who live in America and anywhere else in the world aren't trying to flee Israel because of the Israeli government. Unlike a lot of Muslims, Chinese, Cubans, South Americans, north Africans, etc. And I'm not even talking about subgroups (like the Hmong) who are being persecuted by the mainstream group.
