I have not but it's in the plans one day to visit there soon as well as Netherlands, Sweden, Ireland, and England.

Since you've been to Norway - are the rest of the country as green and mountainous as the fjord?  Northern lights would be great.  I would want to sleep in one of those glass roof hotel where you can stare into the heaven, see the Northern lights.

If "Northern lights" is the objective, go to Iceland as it's closer. Or even closer (at least to me), Alaska...But if it has to be Norway, go visit their island, Svalbard...

True, Alaska would be closer for Northern Lights and Iceland is the ultimate place to see this wonder.  Did you know they have Ice Hotel there? Northern Lights would be a plus But I'm more interested in greenery, peaks, and valleys, rivers, and lakes, oceans, and beaches, etc...

The Fjord in Norway seem to be one of a kind, i'm thinking.

Iceland has plenty of green stuff. It's funny, Iceland and Greenland should swap names as Greenland has a lot more ice than Iceland when I was there...Here's a photo of the green stuff in Iceland:

And surrounded by ocean from all sides:

Beautiful!  When is the best time to visit Iceland?

Depends on what you want to see but if you prefer green stuff, late spring and summer should work. I say depends because many tourists go there to experience the "ice" of Iceland, like these couples' marriage engagements...:

Perhaps I was extremely gorgeous to y'all eyes, I see why I caught y'all attention. heh heh heh

I have been alive since 2020. I think I should bring a lady mannequin along with me as a companion to Norway by private boat.  8)

I still think Norway is amazing... I was watching YOUTUBE the other day about travels to Norway and you have some winding road going up the mountain to Fijord (??) and right alongside the road from time to time are amazing waterfalls...c ascading waterfalls... or glacier rivers flowing down the mountain, like waves racing down.  What a sight to see.

they only show you the good.

Once there, unless you are the hardcore fishing in the cold and rain type, you may want to go back to your warm hotel room to take a warm shower.

I hate going out of my comfort zone.  If I must go, I need me someone who has been there before and to show me the ropes. Once I know, I do not mind to be another person's guide.  If you go out of your comfort zone and not equip with the know how, you may die.

Like going on a hiking trail here in America, it gets dark, you wonder off the trail and you may die.

Norway sure have beautiful scenes but I don't wanna pretend I'll travel there with carefree thoughts. I'm gonna be smart and cautious rather than being reckless goof going over wrong part of Norway that might get me killed someday. I hate bad things happening whenever I want to go to places I desire to visit.
