BS... more like, for drug.
$15/hr is a joke in NY, CA or these other high cost of living states. Let the market set the wage... If you don't make enough, go get skills that'll pay more.

Normally I would agree with you EXCEPT the handouts have been going to the wealthy for the past decade-plus.  750B for TARP.  4.4T for COVID/CARES.

General Discussion / Re: Housing Market Question
« on: April 28, 2021, 05:49:19 PM »
Here's a hypothetical situation:

You have a secondary home purchased in 2015 for 160k and the house is now worth about 350k and rising. You owe about 70k on your primary home and could possibly pay it off with the sale of your secondary home. Your secondary home is generating about 400.00 positive income a month.

Would you drop the rental and pay off your primary home and invest the difference?

or

Would you keep the rental and hope the market keep going or at least just level off? Knowing you'll get 400 a month?

Scenarios:
1) GO BIG... Leverage your houses to buy more houses to generate more free cash flow since interest rates are at an all-time low.  Maybe you can double or triple your free cash flow, which would allow you to get another house...  Challenges with this scenario...do you have time to be a property manager?  Is your job stable?  Is your relationship stable?
2) SELL HIGH...Sell the house and reallocate the capital into the stock market.  The challenge with this scenario is the market could crash...but on a 20-30 year average, it is always a good investment.
3) DO NOTHING because you cannot tell the future and this is probably the easiest thing to do.

Remember the following are good investments during inflationary periods.
1) Real Estate
2) Stocks / REIT / ETF
3) Commodities

i don't like this rally
it look like a bull trap
and showing signs

the calm before the storm
make sure you have one year of income ready

50/50 chance

up or down
chose your pick

It's a fed rally.  They are going to keep it flat for a long while.  It's like the whole ZIRP thing forcing people to play the market with their retirement.  When the fed pulls out and the shoe drops, who is going to regulate such thing when the federal government is completely bought out?  We could be the next VZ...when the money pulls out bad things happen.  The whole globalist idea is to spread the risk across the countries.

Very easy brother.  Just follow the youtube video from ChrisFix on youtube.  Takes about 2-3 hours solo job for a noob like me.

parts:
2 fronts pads,
2 back pads,
4 rotors

tools:
jack
2 jack stands
c-clamp
basic tools you get in craftsman set
breaker bar
wire brush
mallet

consumable
pb blaster
wd40
thread locker
anti-cease - cooper one
brake cleaner

Parts is about $260
consumable is about $25.

$600 wounds about right if you have someone do it.  They charge 3 hours to do brakes at $125 plus $250 in super cheap parts.

General Discussion / Re: Shimano: Good for fishing gear, also good for
« on: April 20, 2020, 10:07:22 PM »
I think I made this comparison before on here.  When you guy top of the line Shimano gears you are paying for a particular level of performance.  When winning can come down to 1%-2%, don't let money stop you from buying the edge.  Shimano top of the line professional gear are designed for that particular high-end market where people will shell out 10x or more to get their desire performance.

I don't see anyone complaining about a Lexus IS-F for 70k when a Kia is 10k or a use 10-year-old corolla is 5k.  Market segmentation is what this is called.

Shimano holds very tight tolerances using very strong and lightweight materials.  This means high durability and quality.

I listened to it the year it came out.  In addition, I read the CITIGROUP plutonomy letter.

The pitchfork may come if this oppressive system continues.  Right now all small businesses are closed.  If there are no more bailout to the people, there will be pitchfork.

the US contributes almost $60million to the WHO...they failed miserably in this pandemic.  one of the most essences of the WHO is to warn if not prevent this kind of catastrophe.

they protected china and followed china's propaganda, now EVERY country on Earth is suffering.

It is rightful to withhold funding until an investigation is put in place to find out what went wrong and have other countries equally contribute.

bill gates says the US should be in lock down for at least 10 months or longer... :idiot2:..as if we got as much money as he does?!

You are being silly again.  The US does not take orders from international organizations that we fund.  Our own organizations are better funded, have better experts, have better equipment, have better data, have better technology, have better just about everything under the sun.  So guess who ducked up?  DJT when he fired the pandemic response team because the black swan will never occur.  Whoops...it did under his watch and he failed to respond, and is still failing to respond.  Be realistic with you opinion and get to know the data.

Biden-Yang 2020!

Trump just added 7.2T to the deficit.  He just inflated the market to win his Presidency.  The bankers were so happy there was an idiot running the country when they robbed the American people.  You don't have the education to understand this.  You will see what Trump Era policy will do to America in the next 4 years.  He's NERO not Cyrus.  You MAGA are morons.

Nope. Just saw an article about two Kentucky folks who voted for Trump, knowing that he would take away Obamacare, which was what they depended on for hospital bills and now, if Trump can repeal it, her husband is going to die because they can't afford the surgery to save him if they don't have Obamacare.

Itís sad when there is so much propaganda out there.  Obamacare is a good step forward but a costly step that didnít address the issues related to the inefficiencies of the system and agents in the system.  So while the intent was sound, the implementation as-is is not because of the GOP douchbags.  Obama has a good heart but he lacks full conviction like MLK or other civil right leaders because quite honestly, Obama didnít grow up on the streets and canít feel the pain and oppression like we have.  I love the guy but he should have taken the gloves off the 2nd term.

General Discussion / Re: I'm Confused Why The Serfs Are Fighting...
« on: April 06, 2020, 06:14:30 PM »
Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.
--Benjamin Franklin

the answer to your question:

No body wants to be a SmERF forever...powe r in numbers that is why we are divided into groups, the more people I have the more powerful I become.  to get more people over to my side is not by force but persuasion of the mind.  when a lord provides better pay and protection, why would you not want to switch sides?

the left lord promises free healthcare, free housing, and free food but one must remain a slave forever.

the right lord says, you have to pay what you earn, sounds harsh but eventually you will earn your freedom.

there is no fighting among us SmERFS...in this free world, you're either wrong or RIGHT.  you want to be a serf forever?

Trump does not want to take this seriously because he doesn't want to ruin the economy and his chance for re-election.
