I think one of the reasons is the new Supra doesn't have world class

..power like it's predecessor. I mean when the 1993 Supra came out with 320 hp, it was in the upper tier of horsepower production when compared to other mass produced sports cars of that time...It is the best looking Supra generation though IMO but looks alone won't sell that well when it comes to sports cars...gotta have performance to match.

The A90 Toyota Supra is a good car. A very good car, in fact, with some of the best styling and engine sounds on the market today. Yet, according to Toyota’s year-end sales numbers, none of you have actually gone out and bought one. This is a travesty, and I won’t stand for it.

Toyota sold just 2,652 Supras in 2023, down from 4,952 in 2022. That’s a 46-percent drop, and it’s a crime. The Supra is fantastic little car, and you’re all ignoring it. For what? What else are you buying?

Even an outdated 2007 Nissan GT-R had more power than the new Supra overall performance. Back in the 1993, the Supra's HP was on par with the likes of the Corvette but not anymore.

Supra's main competitor is the Z. The Supra is so good that it takes the GTR to even out match it. Supra is 60k and GTR now is over 100k. If you drive a GTR and GR Supra they arent even alike at all. The Supra is way more comfy and better for a daily. If you have an older GTR and the GR supra both on BPU they're pretty much head to head.

I don't know... the Supra styling does not do it for me. If I had to choose between the new Supra and New Z... I'll take the Z.

I think this generation Supra is the best looking of all. I've owned 2 in the 80s and almost snatched a third one with a twin turbo engine in the mid 90s so I'm a fan but like I've stated, this new generation Supra needs more power to fit the Supra name plate. Same goes for the new Z too...

I mean back in 93, the TT Supra's world class power and performance numbers were on par with the likes of the base LT1 Corvette if not better.

Compared the 2024 3.0 Supra's numbers to the 2024 base Corvette's numbers and the Vette easily beats it..

With that said, I am happy to see that the new Supra finally has a manual tranny option available starting in 2023 on... :

"At least the 2023 model year fixed what the internet deemed to be one of the Supra's biggest flaws: It finally has a six-speed manual. The standard six-cylinder Supra is already a pretty fantastic sports car in my mind."

On the moto side, I can say the same thing about the Hayabusa too. I had a first gen Busa and it had the world class power and performance as well as lived up to the hype. The new third gen Busa looks best out of the three gens but it is kind of deflated in power area...given that it's been 25 years since the first gen came out..
