Title: Per Cali Guy's Costco membership point, I feel like mine didn't cost anything
Post by: theking on July 13, 2021, 11:40:41 PM
..or much at all depending on how much we spent during the year. We received this recently and it pretty much washed our membership fees and at the same time, we still have access to their discounts as members so it's a win-win great deal overall  O0:

I know Cali Guy tried to explain and did a good job explaining how his memberships paid for itself but folks with reading comprehension issues didn't get it and won't get it...

Got mine too and washed my membership fee plus extra. Said not redeemable for cash but cashier gave me cash for the extra amount not spent. Forgot to take picture but all in all, about 200 plus 480 from cc. So 680 total by regular shopping. I take that 600-700 every year and pay for prime, Hulu, Netflix, and even parts of my cell phone bill.

Now imagine if you are the purchaser for a company account.  You get reimbursement for your spending which cancels out but these year end perks, you get to keep.

Big account, big bucks  O0

No wonder one of my co worker loves to buy costco stuff for people.  We thought he was doing it out of his good generosity but a smile on his face when he's really doing it for himself.  Win win for all.

Nice!..It's a no brainer not to pay for membership so you can save while you shop there and then also get all these incentives back every year that's way more than enough to cover membership cost... O0

We're not the one that the neutral PH members called out for being a compulsive LIAR and having "reading comprehension" issues:

reading comprehension.
sh1t talker? this, I'll have to give you the winning prize. you're the biggest sh1t talker in here. of course you don't know,
I don’t believe his lies for a second
HmgRock, you should post sincere, honest topics; don't just post anything.

And when even your closest bromance called you out on your LIES and laughed hard directly at your face, that is just pathetically sad  ;D:

I don't believe you :2funny:

AND YES THOSE OF US THAT ARE "legit" CAN EASILY INCLUDE "legit" QUOTES LIKE THE ABOVE SO IF OTHERS WANT TO READ MORE ABOUT IT, THEY CAN JUST SIMPLY CLICK ON IT... O0 O0 O0

you got a point.  Math don't look right

Lets say you get 5% cash back on a particular card which is freaking nice and freaking high.  To get $1000 back, you gotta spend $20k.  Now how much does he makes a year again?   :2funny:

Watch him tuck and run as usual...Like I've said, didn't get it and won't get it..not even when simple explanation and visual aide are used to assist.. ;D

Perhaps because he is such a compulsive LIAR, he also thinks others LIE like him...

Plus, instead of learn from his WRONGs, he prefer to dig his LYING hole deeper by making more LIES..For example, I caught him LYING about the photo below (he said, it's "monument valley" and instead of owning up to it and learn from it, the LIED some more  ;D ;D ;D:

Where’s your 1k rewards? If you can prove that, I’ll let you see my spendings at Costco. It’s all tracked, I have it on file but trust me, your mind is warped and you see only what you want to see.

Most of us understand how promotional cc works but you said you got 1k last year from doing it. Here is your chance to shine but if you can’t shine, theking is right and it’s just another lie.

Doubt it if you get bent out of shapes over a picture. Pictures are nice, good for the eyes and if I haven’t been there, I might have questions. Instead, you get jealous which I understand that many people can’t afford to travel but just save or travel on a budget. Credit rewards are huge in the travel business.

Your financial advice is like unsolicited advice, nobody in here asked for it. You keep pouting and touting yet, you buy 1-2 shares, 60-70 shares on amc and called that goldmines, all in for a few shares, join me on clean energy, buying etfs that you had no idea about, real estate is not investment but liability yet you claimed you owned property… hypocrite much it’s  laughable. Every investment has risks. How do you expect people to take you seriously?

Your mind and calculations are warped because it’s narrowed. You can’t see beyond your limits and I can’t see beyond my limits either. Said I show you my tracked spending if you can show me what you claimed, 1k rewards from 2020. Obviously between the two of us, only one person is lying because he wrote more than what he can prove.

I am not here to convince anyone, just sharing my rewards, the proof is above. All I have to do is screenshot my 2020 spending and post, how about you? When you’re legitimate, you got nothing to hide and can easily prove what you say.

See your mind is warped. 38k and 85k are to the taxmen, average joes wouldn’t understand how some people have to pay so much taxes. Correlates the rest or do you need me to hold your hands and walk you through it?  ;D ;D

Thats why i say $25,000

$25,000 x 2%= $500 annual
But you also claim YTD year to date

So i put you around $100k that you buy at costco
THATS ALOT OF FOOD

I have all the numbers handy but you don’t and just guessing, your guesses are all wrong. So who is actually stuck? I’ll fill some info in, at least 2% to 5%. If gas counts that would be 6% but unfortunately, gas is only counted at 4%. Unstuck your mind.

This passage from a January 2020 article nailed it in regards to Costco's membership's benefits and incentives  8):

"If you’re already a Costco member, stop by the membership counter on your next visit and ask them to look up your total annual purchases. If you spend $2,750 a year, you’ve already made up for the $55 surcharge it takes to upgrade to the Executive card—everything else is gravy, and helps pay down the $55 for the basic membership. Spend $5,500 a year and your Costco Executive membership is 100 percent paid for."

So let me reiterate my post from page 1 of this thread again  O0:

Nice!..It's a no brainer not to pay for membership so you can save while you shop there and then also get all these incentives back every year that's way more than enough to cover membership cost... O0

Here's another article explaining why Costco membership is worth it and yes it makes a lot of sense because at the end of the year, your membership cost is washed and if you spend as much as Cali Guy does, they'll even return some back to you through incentives so it's a "win-win" for both parties.. O0:

Quote
"2% cashback on most of your purchases. At a minimum, you’d want to at least make back the additional $60 cost you paid for the Executive level.  An even better scenario is if you can get $120 back to pay the entire cost of your Costco membership.

Additional savings on many Costco services. Costco offers services ranging from a real estate program to mortgages to insurance to business services. There are also some extras available to executive members, at a cost, including roadside assistance and cheaper cheque printing.

Exclusive offers and extra discounts. You can receive special invitations for products, as well as get a first look at promotions and discounts.

With the cashback, you will need to plan your spending if you want to make up the cost of your membership. For example, to get a $60 reward, you would need to spend at least $3,000 a year, or $250 a month.

This is relatively easy if you do most of your regular shopping at Costco. Most families spend at least that much on groceries, personal care items, and clothing.  Simply make a list, and plan to shop at Costco. Not only will you benefit from discounted items, but you will also get cashback and have access to a variety of other perks.

Now, if you’re hoping to pay for the entire $120 membership with your annual reward you would need to spend $6,000 a year, or $500 a month."

I never mentioned photoshop, again comprehension issues.

I never mentioned hate, all facts from you, and again comprehension issues on your part.

Making things up when he loses is something he has done for as long as his long standing well established fraudulent rep. And thus, that is why he lies so much..

The one that's "mad" is you. You're so mad, you can't even keep your own promise to yourself: "new year, turn a new leaf, nothing but love resolution"...But then again, that's NOT surprising giving your long standing well-established fraudulent rep...Like that time you were bent all out of shape because you lost the argument against dark helmet then cried, you "don't care about money"... ;D ;D ;D

It's been days now and still ZERO evidence to back up that "1k cc reward" claim aka LIE.. ;D

It's funny darkhelmet said the same thing and tried to help him understand with the quote below but he rather follow his EPIC FAIL ways...so like I've said at the beginning, didn't get it and won't get it.. ;D ;D ;D:

This is a poor people mentality.  Instead of bringing yourself up, you want to bring others down.

Everyone started at ground zero.  Where you go from there is up to you.

It's not about FAIR, it's about JEALOUSY.

Why would I create this thread and pointed out how Cali Guy was right if I wasn't "backing" his point.. I contribute that failure to his "reading comprehension" (per the neutral PH members) issues...:idiot2: :

reading comprehension.
