Outdoors & Recreational Hobbies / Eskimo Outbreak 250XD
« on: December 11, 2020, 02:03:08 AM »
Heck ya...So I bought this new tent.  No, it's actually an ice fishing shelter.  This is gonna be how ice fishing will be done.  Now I just gotta go check out if my heater will still work.  New for Eskimo shelter this year is their new insulated fabric called Storm Shield.  The best thing is that one no longer see those pinhole quilted welded/stitching that defeats the purpose of insulation.  The best thing about this Outbreak 250XD is the big door that somehow ice fishing shelter has long forgotten.  Yeah I had big doors on the old Clam 1060 and that was awesome.  Well the big door on the Eskimo here is that like a door and nothing to trip over on the floor.  Well the only thing that Eskimo really needs to work on is getting some cross bars onto the door frame.

However with this warm weather we've been having and lack of snow on the ground...well looks a lot like there's not going to be much ice fishing.

Health & Fitness / Ringing in my head/ears
« on: August 10, 2020, 12:09:10 PM »
There's always this thing I wonder why is there a random ringing in my ears or head.  Now there's a medical condition called Tinnitus.

However what does it really mean when one actually hears a high pitch frequency sound?  Like as in dog's hearing and then reacting to it.  Well there is sometimes such an audible high pitch frequency that some hear while others do not.  There is such a medical condition of tinnitus.  I wonder when is it one or the other at times.

I've heard high pitch sound while someone operates electrical devices.  There's evident of being close to such a device and usually when one gets used to the sound, one often tunes out the background noise as noise.  How then is in most instances covering one's ears will often reduce it.  Now when it does nothing at all and clearly isn't sound related, how does one know if it is?

So just today, for the first time, I heard a ringing.  Now only this time I plugged my ears to check as usual.  It had no effect whatsoever.  It almost appears to be from withing my head that I'm picking up this ringing frequency.  I also sort of felt the presence of and exterior electrical type of unit operating.  Maybe a passing UFO or satellite or drone?

So I found two small air conditioner units.  Kind of old but seems to be intact.

Them looters must've dumped their old units now that they've looted a brand new unit.  :2funny:

Okay so the company Bobby's Eats has finally heard the customer and have moved all paper coupons to online.  Yes since all these customers have complained about not carrying physical coupons and now it's all barcoded online.

Now they come with pictures of coupons online and all them fake pictures with fake barcodes are not working.   ;D

Outdoors & Recreational Hobbies / Shimano Curado 70

Shimano Curado 70

So I went on a spree and purchased the Closed out reels. I actually went with the 70HG version so it's a 7.2 gear.  It's not that I needed a new reel, it's just that I saw a deal too good to pass up.  Normally it retails for $199 but the deal I saw was for $119 and at that price it was worth it.

To compare with it's predecessor like the Curado 50E or the Chronarch 50Mg is kind of what this is about.

Anyway it's only been used for ice fishing and it's been wonderful with all the upgrades and advances from the old ones.  Not that it matters to me, but there is a slight improvement in the feel overall.  It's not like I have cast with the reel at all, in fact for ice fishing, I have all the brakes turned off.  I better remember to turn them on if I should decide to mount them on my full sized rods.  I made that mistake once.  I thought my reels where casting freely...they were, no braking.  Then poof a gust of wind came and it was a birds nest on the spool.

Anyway...there may be a new replacement coming out in the near future, as they are phasing out this model.

and now...I need a rod to go with it.  Oh the dilemma!  O0

Food Forum / Chicken Breast at the Groceries Stores
« on: November 13, 2019, 02:28:11 AM »
So lately I haven't seen the chicken breast for sale with the skin on or like a quartered chicken parts or something.

Now it's all skinless and it costs more.  It doesn't bake well without the skin, it's all so dried out.

*Copy paste abridged*

In their purest form, “egalitarian matriarchies” place the mother principle at the center of culture and society. Their highest values are the love, care, and generosity they associate with motherhood. These values are not limited to women and girls. Boys and men are also encouraged to honor mothers above all, to practice the traits of love, care, and generosity, and to value them in others

General Education / Back to School for kids...
« on: September 02, 2019, 05:39:51 AM »
So, why are people more and more rude?

We are all standing in line...waiting to talk to Teacher or what other person at the station...

Then people would just cut in line and walk straight up to that person...Geez. ..the current society.  It's not the kid, but the parent who's doing it.  What are they trying to teach their kids?

....
As much as I appreciate the volunteer folks...but when they're volunteering and don't even know the information that they're trying to give nor give the wrong information out...well, thanks, I had to teach you the information that I didn't know either.  I'm the one who needs some help, but I ended up helping them...

The school that seemed so big to me when I was a little kid...wow, it's rather quite small actually now that I'm all grown up...LOL.
