Go to Harris County, TX - a criminal court judge (Frank Aguilar) was handing out the smallest bond he can get away with it to repeat violent offender...
1 - a 47 yrs old criminal with long rap sheet and multiple violent crimes have been released on $1 bond.
2 - a 21 yrs old man was released for $100 bond for terrorizing 3 different women while on probation. He was caught and brought to court 7 times and each time, the judge set his bond @ just $100. All of this, while he's on probation...
3 - low bond amount (less than $100) to sexual assault perp, kidnapping perp, domestic violence perp, witness threatening, etc etc
The judge is now suspended... not for these acts but for issue with family violence... Imagine that, a criminal judge helping criminals.

If?
Criminals are those who break the law. If a law allows you to do these things and not be charged, then you are by definition not a criminal.
San Francisco pushed to rebrand the term. It is now called "formerly incarcerated person."
So now what?
Homelessness ---> "housing insecurity"
Shoplifting/Retail Theft ---> "financially challenged consumers"
Pedophilia ---> "minor-attracted orientation"
Pro-Israel ---> "Nazis"
