"...The Holy Spirit and we have agreed not to put any other burden on you besides these necessary rules:

eat no food that has been offered to idols;
eat no blood;
eat no animal that has been strangled
; and
keep yourselves from immorality.

You will do well if you keep yourselves from doing these things..."--Acts 15, Verses 23-29. (curtailed for emphasis)

Reporter,
the quote you provide for us to glance at and read. These things happened similar during Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Kings I-III, and all they way to Hosea. Oldest religion they performed was Judaism. Yes, God forbid his children from doing anything abomination. The chapters from Joel to Malachi his children did numbers of things that are abomination in God's sight.

Even his children during the NT follow similar pattern as in the OT. Modern days like now people aka the Gentiles no matter the skin color is do the exact same things as the Hebrew from the past.
Nothing to do with religious belief. It's the people's heart and mind attach to earthly things that make them go paranoia frenzies  :idiot2:

These general things that people cannot let go of: money, sexual partner, idol.

Not sure the passage implies today's Christianity. Sound to me the passage that Reporter extracted was from the old testament oldest religion, Judaism.  :2funny:

I'm having trouble understanding what's that means. Can you give me an examples by your definition of acquiring the sacrifices?

Did the Hmong learn how to offer foods to idols from the Gentile?

"...The Holy Spirit and we have agreed not to put any other burden on you besides these necessary rules:

eat no food that has been offered to idols;
eat no blood;
eat no animal that has been strangled
; and
keep yourselves from immorality.

You will do well if you keep yourselves from doing these things..."--Acts 15, Verses 23-29. (curtailed for emphasis)

Hmong are the Gentiles. In the beginning we have our own kind of sacrificing our livestocks to our God aka Chou Yi. After we have split up and divide, we only worship our ancestors and sacrifice our livestocks again. Lol
