I remember sitting by your side.
The amber sun, setting in the western sky.
It was a beautiful sight,
But not quite as beautiful,
as the memory of you in my mind.
We held each other on those ivory shores
The white sand beaches, the emerald tides.
It was a beautiful sight
But not quite as beautiful,
as your sweet presence by my side.
Then the waves came in
It broked our hands.
Our love faded like footprints in the sand.
Hearts set afloat
Driftwoods on the tide
But never enough,
to erase your image from my mind.
So many years lost at sea.
With nothing but faded memories.
Now here you are
...My long lost friend.
It's been so long between now and then.
How your beauty, remains the same.
And as the water flows...
...slowly from our eyes,
Come my love, sit by my side.
The Amber Sun, those Ivory Shores,
the Emerald Tides, are ours once more.
