this reminds me of a calendar that was done a few years ago and the HMONG model wore her HMONG hat backwards.

I'm not saying I'm any better than you. I'm just pointing out the flaws that you missed. Perhaps next time, before distributing anything, have a second eye look at it first.

I don't know. If I get paid to do a job, I'd make sure that my clients get their money's worth.

It seems like someone cannot take feedback, in this case negative feedback. If you cannot take criticism then you are obviously in the wrong field. WIth myself being a photographer and artist, I would want negative feedback. That's the only way to improve, but that's just me. Do whatever that floats your boat. Again using free vectors is okay, it just shows how much you know about designing. :2funny:

Now I understand why your own parents disown you, I would have done the same myself.
Like I stated before, all of your graphics consist of free vector artwork that have been created by other artists. It's not a crime to use it but atleast learn how to use it so that it isn't so noticable. Anyways my Avengers poster has already out perform all of your fliers here...and it only took 10 minutes to put it together.

I forgot to mention but if you are struggling in design school then maybe you were never meant to be a graphic designer. I mean come on, if you have to yell at your parents saying that, "it's not as easy as you think" then you were never good at it to begin with. I made my point clear, if you understand it then I hope you will improve but if not then keep bashing back on the forum. >:D I care less, it's your artwork!

dude your poster has only two images with brushes! its the samething. i see no different.

So you only see 2 images? That's your biggest problem already, you lack attention to detail. If you look carefully there is Hulk in the background, Thor's chest armor in the corner and then you see Captain America's shield with Iron Man's helmet. Not only that but there are other effects I created myself, I didn't need to cheat off freevectors.co m to get graphics. If you thinks it's all brush work then you need to go back and learn photoshop 101!
Oh yeah, learn how to freaken use the Pen Tool so that next time if you are cutting people from images, at least it's clear rather then cheap brush effect.

@8v10un30sun: If you're calling me being honest mad then yes...I am mad all the time. Atleast I am down to Earth about giving people straight forward input. That's reality and if you're in that field of business then it's expected!

Their view of how a flyer is processed is untainted and they can give unbiased feedbacks. I do photography as a hobby and my favorite critiques come from your average person who doesn't care much/know about taking photos.

It took a while for me to get used to it but I used to hate when someone who has no knowledge or know very little about photography comes in and tell me what they think is right. If i receive bad feedbacks, i just take it with a grain of salt. If i like a certain thing im doing ill continue doing it. But most of the time, non-camera people don't pay attention to the technical details and the only bad things theyll say is, she's got a bad pose, smile, etc. The feedbacks im looking for from your average person is "hey, it looks so nice/professional".
If i want technical critiques, i come to the photogs.
Back to the flyers. I have no clue how to do graphic designs, so i'm looking at it as most people would. All i see is infos (when, where, what) and pictures (gogo dancers) and it's put together in a way to show me that this might be a fun party. I think HmoobForce accomplish what he has set out to do, which is provide people with info in a more interesting/entertaining way.
