I'm losing hope in our gov't because all these mass shooting hasn't done anything to change gun legislation and the current guy in the WH and the leader of the Rep. party need to take out the gun legislation that's sitting on their desk, collecting dust... and do something about it so we don't hear about another mass shooting in the future.

Our current gov't/leader is in denial.  Recently you hear statements like guns don't kill it's people.  The world has become less and less safe for sure!
gun laws are some of the restrictive legislation there is and yet, it has not stopped mass shootings.  chicago has the most strict gun laws imposed and almost every weekend there's a mass shooting (they just had one, the same weekend as el paso and dayton).  we can certainly try to reduce it (mass shootings) but to put a stop it, is unrealistic.  you are best to provide a strategy and defend yourself when it occurs, than to rely on the government to save you.

Bro

Look at my pic display closely
Thats some 223 ammo spell PH
LOL...your incoherence is that of someone with a mental disorder.  you know what people say about people with mental disorders,  it's one of the reasons, they shouldn't have guns.

i don't mean to brag, but i can spell the letters "PH" at 50 yards...just connect the dots! ha!

Lol

Bro
You don’t even own an AR
Matter fact you don’t even own anything

Trump is the government
Why would you fight trump
I thought u love him
i'm no fool to brag about what i own, if i did, people would be digging my backyard to where i stashed the ca$h!  LOL

i don't think i need to clarify my first statement that your gun is far more valuable than what the government is offering (unless you have reading comprehension issues).  BUT let me enlighten you though, since you proposed a gun buy back.  buy as many as stripped lower receivers, as they are considered to be the gun and serialized, they're cheap...under $40.  when the government enforces the buy back, you can sell it at 300% it's value to the government...b etter than your stock market!  cha-ching! ha!

Why you even need an AR or high rifle gun for?

It just means you can't shoot.  Can't hit the target with one shot so you gotta spray the whole fields with flying bullets and hoping to hit one?

Let me see you take an AR in public.  We all know the next mass shooter will shoot with an AR.  Oh that's you.

Why make yourself a target for ridicule for?  AR got a bad rep now.  Learn how to think it through.
the misconception of owning a gun (ar, ak or whatever gun) is to go on a killing spree is just wrong.  good people primary use of a gun is for protection of oneself and others.

people should recognize the difference between el paso and dayton...there was less casualty because someone (police) intervened the dayton shooter with another gun.

The point is there are also cases where "white" people claimed they complied and excessive force was still exhibited by the officer(s).

Sure the percentage or "chances" vary among groups and/or demographics but to make an ignorant claim like, "Compliance works very well when you're white" is just not very accurate..

Does the police use of excessive force happens to Blacks more than other groups? Sure. But does it also happen to other groups too? You bet:

We use data on police-involved deaths to estimate how the risk of being killed by police use of force in the United States varies across social groups. We estimate the lifetime and age-specific risks of being killed by police by race and sex. We also provide estimates of the proportion of all deaths accounted for by police use of force. We find that African American men and women, American Indian/Alaska Native men and women, and Latino men face higher lifetime risk of being killed by police than do their white peers. We find that Latina women and Asian/Pacific Islander men and women face lower risk of being killed by police than do their white peers. Risk is highest for black men, who (at current levels of risk) face about a 1 in 1,000 chance of being killed by police over the life course. The average lifetime odds of being killed by police are about 1 in 2,000 for men and about 1 in 33,000 for women. Risk peaks between the ages of 20 y and 35 y for all groups. For young men of color, police use of force is among the leading causes of death.
to bring up a case (mohamed noor vs justine damond) that is totally irrelevant to prove your point, it's a severe sign of TDS.  bottomline, if you failed to do the "hokey-pokey" and follow directions as to what "simon says"...you might just get shot! ha!

lol

you sure you got an AR??
we haven't see any pic yet
been asking for months

anyways, the US government got drones and tank
your AR is useless
you will die before you even step out of the house

 :2funny:
and so you're supposed to just give up without a fight?  i'm not scared of the government, as they pose no threat than my neighbors (people who has ill will to do you harm).

my guns and gears are over $2000 (not including ammo)...$200-$300 buy back is a joke.

the minute you sell your guns back, is the minute the government can dictate what you can or cannot do.  i'd rather have nightmares sleeping next to my AR than have sleepless nights.

a contradiction of your's... you don't want to create animal cruelty but would rather hunt with a bow and arrow.  do you know that bows and arrows cost more than a hunting rifle and bullets and yet less effective?

since we're looking for blame, let's not forget HOLLYWOOD!  they're made of libetards who dramatize and sensationalize violence! ha!

It's indicative of a morally corrupt culture.  Everything is aimed toward a selfish individual system.  The U.S. is the most democratic country in the world but yet has the highest number of gun violence, drug problems, etc. of all civilized countries.

It is sad but I can see this country descending into a sad future state as portrayed in many futuristic movies where the rich and powerful are living enclosed in a secured community and everyone else are left to live outside having to struggle to survive in a "mad max" environment.
you're already seeing this now...democratic senators living in gated communities, while zombies flood the streets.  examples here are among the worst in the country; nancy pelosi's district of  san francisco, E. Cummings of Baltimore, maxine waters of LA.

I don't know but I feel that in general, a lot of Americans have become desensitized to gun violence in America.  It's like a normal thing now.  We have so many mass shootings it's hard to keep count and keep track anymore.  I guess to many people, there are big money in guns even at the loss of lives.  We have two sides when it comes to gun control.  One side is irrational.  That's all I'm going to say about that. Because of the irrational side, positive changes to gun laws will be slow to happen.  Which means more lives will be lost first before anything major happens to prevent frequent/easy mass shootings.  Such a shame.

Also, crazy is the new normal these days. You've got an inexperienced reality TV star and racist acting as POTUS, making the US lose major respect from other nations.  He is a President straight out of the twilight zone.  The current POTUS is a joke.  That's all I'm going to say about that.

To stay sane, I can't help but to feel desensitized.  Internally I'm outraged but I feel so powerless when the people that we give the power to to make the right decisions don't make the right decisions.  They make decisions based on money and re-elections and not lives.  It's so discouraging!  I don't vote for politicians that don't value all human lives but other people vote for these politicians, so, what can one do?
it's good to "desensitized" oneself, if you don't care.  how about being more informed and taking appropriate actions or at the very least, being open minded?

did you know cars kill more people than guns?  take this into perspective... car accidents kill people everyday but when a plane crashes and it's headline all over the national news.  so do we ban airplanes and/or put more restrictions on air flights?  a gun is a tool, it's an option (some believe it as a right) you can have and use it to your advantage.  how you use it, is at your own discretion and quite frankly, it is the BEST tool for self defense.

my opinion of your opinion on trump is off base.  Trump is business man, he did not become a billionaire just by inheritance and he's running the country as such.  this is why you see we're having the best economy in history.  trump is negatively downplayed by the media and other politicians because of his transparency; he speaks his mind, but more importantly, with his emotions.  he's not articulate like previous president, who speaks with a verbiage that is pleasant to the ear but their words can be even more offensive.  if you don't like trump, you have the power to vote him out of the presidency...v ote for one of these democratic candidates, who will give you everything for free (education, healthcare, and free money), regardless if you're a citizen or not  BUT will tax you up to 70% (making 30cents of your hard earned dollar - try living off that?)

keep an open mind, people shooting people happens everyday and the best way to avoid that is not be a statistic.  protect yourself, even the police are not obligated to save you.  before you express your dissatisfactio n with the current administration, you should consider your living situation.  from what i can tell, sounds like you're doing very well, having a job, owning two homes...not very much people are able to do that under democratic rule.

Didn't work too "well" for this "white" person so it's as bad as saying you can kill a "black man and get away scott free"...:

Woman killed by Minneapolis officer ‘yearned to help people’

This incident had nothing to do with compliance.

compliance, in this discussion, is about following directive and lawful orders given by law enforcement.  whether you're red, white, blue, black, brown, green, purple, orange, and sometimes,  yellow - (asians tends to follow direction quite well), failing to do so often results in being physically detained by whatever force necessary (excessive force and up to fatal force...depend ent on the circumstances).

it's walmart's fault for having a gun-free zone! ha!

Isn't that cute.

You mean to tell me if you obey commands from LEO's you wouldn't get shot? Like the caretaker (African-American) who was shot, right?

Or how about the woman who was killed because the cop shot at the dog and missed?

I mean, target practice right? Or maybe it's this idea of "if I can fire off 15 bullets, 1 will eventually hit the perp...and unfortunately suffer collateral damage but we're cool with that?"
regardless of your crime, i can almost guarantee you safety, if you comply, you won't die!

totally different perspective from accidental shooting (with your example)...it's never ok with collateral damage, unless it's war related (some innocent people will get hurt).
