It could happen, but I don't think Russia will invade Ukraine. Wow! That idiot realizes that the stock market will crash if there is war. It's almost as if he understands that a big catalyst like war with Russia will make bigger moves in the stock market than what the Fed is going to do.    I think defense stocks will most likely come down too if the stock market crashes. I'm not sure how familiar you are with futures, but that would be my play instead of buying defense stocks. These aren't investment plays, but I would look at oil and gas futures.

Inverse me huh? I was the one that mentioned oil futures before Russia actually invaded. Looks like mr pebble took my advice and eventually bought an oil ETF. Lol

Not enough refinery is the bottleneck of gas prices, seem here oil corporations rather spend free cash flow on buy backs and increase dividends to make their executives and shareholders happy.

There is no point in arguing facts when all you do is lick Biden's balls when he tells you to lick his balls. The same goes for those that lick Trump's balls when he tells them to lick. There is no point in arguing with hmgpebble because my dog is smarter than him. The fact is that Biden ran his campaign on green energy. Now that his approval rating is shit, inflation is at the highest since 40 something years and the democrats are predicted to lose by a landslide during the midterm election.... he and many like you think approving permits will allow oil companies to start magically drilling overnight. It is funny that Biden approved more permits than Trump because that clearly shows that he f*cked up since he did run on green energy. I'm no oil and gas expert and you are not either, but when the two CEOs of some of the largest oil companies come out and pretty much said you f*cked us and there may never be another oil refinery to be built on the US again.... that says alot.

What's wrong with watching Fox? What's wrong with watching CNN? All of them are bias. He pointed a link to Forbes. Are you saying what he wrote down is wrong? You know what happened to the price of oil when Biden won his election in November 2020? It started going up because the market knew that his policies will affect the oil industry. Simple supply and demand.

I bet you watch FOX news. The same echo chamber and deflection. The fact that Biden has to use government resource to demand refinery outputs makes oil companies complicit. And if I remember if the Keystone pipeline is such a factor why are CEOs of oil companies still racking marginal profits.

I bet you don't watch Fox News!    Arguments like this is stupid. "CEO of oil giant Chevron (CVX 4.18%), says he doesn't believe there will ever be another new oil refinery built in the U.S". Why would you invest more money in research and development, new technology etc, when the government just shit on your industry? The US is the largest producer of oil. The US is also the largest consumer of oil. We consume more than we produce.
