Title: If COVID ended tomorrow..
Post by: Kong Vang on March 11, 2021, 03:12:55 PM
What would you be doing or want to do that you couldn’t do or is not currently doing today?

Personally, I want to go north and meet my bro Rock and have a bud light with him. View his gun collection and go beat up on some bass!

I wouldn't change much of anything. I would still continue to wear a mask.

I have a brother in law who's younger and the dude's family had Covid. Based on their social media pics they do very little social distancing... go figure. This summer he wants to visit. Luckily the s/o's sibling agreed to house and host them.

I'm still very skeptic of going back to life pre-pandemic.

I don’t trust anyone or anything much these days with the Covid, government, medias, and all these hate on Asians, so I would not do much for a while.

Continue the plan from last year, go to Japan for the Olympics, hop over to South Korea and China then fly to Africa and head back home.

Had to scrapped all that off last year. Had some hope for the Olympics this year because that's the main destination out of the trip but saw this the other day so got shut out again:

"No Fans From Abroad for Postponed Tokyo Olympics. The postponed Tokyo Olympics look like they will take place without any fans from abroad when they open in just under five months. The Japanese newspaper Mainichi said on Wednesday the decision had been made to exclude foreign fans."

IT will not end as it can multate

If enough people get the vaccine, it will then becomes the seasonal flu as we can pass it to one another but without the severe hospitalizatio n or death.

I'm fine with that.  As long as we don't die  O0

I think you may be right... I also think most have a good chance to survive it.

I do miss traveling, my buddy and I plan to spend a month in Cambodia and that will be my goal if things let up.

Somehow I don't see Covid being a deterrence on anything I want to do. I have always had my solo getaways--sometimes to unknown places--and I will keep that up whether there's Covid or not. Even if there's no Covid, I won't be doing anything new.

How about just not having to wear a mask.. how about hugging a loved one, how about sitting down to drink with a total stranger, and how about flirting with that girl at the super market?

it'll take some time to get over this covid-19.  i'll still follow the mandated rules, at least for awhile.  even if it was to end tomorrow or today.

Keep the masks. Keep your distance. And continue to practice safe and sensible hygiene practices.

Otherwise just being able to see family and friends again would be enough.

But many of ya'll might have discovered ya'll can work from home permanently now.
