I'm building my retirement up so no need to rely on kids.  If things go well, I'm going to be digging my feet into some warm white sand in Hawaii.

If not, then I'll see you at the shelter.  We can share my cat food.

Lol dude at 90 I don't think you going see me doing much.
Maybe just sleeping
Trust me. I getting harder and harder to wipe after you poop as you age

That was an example.  If they were to give you $5000 for every $500 you can put in, I'm sure you wouldn't hesitate.  Heck, even if they were to match what you put in, you would be an idiot not to take it if you can afford to, for example $500 for $500.

I think you got it wrong.  Save first then spend because if an emergency should happen, you'll have a cushion to fall on, otherwise you will be so bitter and complain about people who could afford things.

And I'm okay with death whether it be a car accident or health issues or whatever.  I'm living my life to the max and I'm happy.

Lol I don't a good workplace like that

Point here is live and have fun.
Save if you can.

60-70 years is really long.
You might die before that

And what happens if that car crash never comes and you end up living up to your 90s?

What would your solution be when there is hardly any social security for you to fall back on?

Probably be in a hospice care type elder living
I don't plan on struggling when I'm old

Social security and Medicare will be plentyful

Lol who need $1 million when you can barely walk no more

hmgRock, you're saying if your company gave you $10K for every $5K you put into your 401K per year that you would not take that offer?

You can't live life in fear of death or not being able to spend that retirement money.  Life is meant to be lived.  Do work that you love so that it doesn't feel like boring work or slaving away.  Steve Jobs did what he loved.  I'm pretty sure when he died, he was fulfilled.  His legacy will live for centuries beyond.  We are the ones left without his knowledge and creativity.  We've lost a genius but we should be grateful for being alive now and having his technology available to us.

I can't match the $5k
That's alot of money
Got bills to pay man.
I match whatever I can. Usually $25 per paycheck
Ain't no biggie to me. I live and spend in the moment. Save if there any left over

Because you are just one car crash away

Faith & Beliefs / Re: Common sense

You are basing your decision on money without considering that maybe a person prefers the pharmacist at their neighborhood drugstore. That's not common sense.

This is what I mean by common sense

Pure reason and judgement
Flu is flu.
Get it at work. It free plus you get away from work.
Makes sense

...

While we on the meds topic get your kids vaccinated
Who cares if you believe or don't believe it work.

But what is common sense?

For example

Dinosaurs

Bone=meat at one time=alive at one time

Or example 2

1% increase in revenue for $50million
While 10% increase in revenue for $3million
Who makes more? That 1% company

Whatever happened to the individual's right to choose? Why do you care if someone chooses to pay for a flu shot? With the new act by California governor, what is the difference between someone seeking assisted-suicide vs. someone who does nothing but prays? They both ultimately chose not to seek medical treatment. Both are comforted by the fact that it is the will of a higher power.

Common sense

Your work place gives them out for free
Why pay $25 at Walgreen or CVS???

Hey guys. I know we get into alot of heated religious debate.
Regardless of what you think or believe.

Let's use common sense.

What I mean by this is pure reason, judgement, practical

Example: your workplace offer free flu shot.  Take it. It free and helps protect you.
a flu shot at CVS or walgreenn will cost you $25

Example 2:  have cancer. Also Seek medical treatment instead just prays.

As always guys

God did not created man.....man created god

Faith & Beliefs / Re: what happen to Zeus and mount olympus?
« on: August 28, 2015, 10:39:17 AM »
I ain't that stupid. I know the story. So don't regurgitate those things to me. You're claiming that Zeus existed in the days of Nephilim. Prove it. Make the connection. Where is your URL? Do you have any evidence to say that Zeus isn't a fallen angel who brought the Nephilim? Because I know the history and date periods of two different nation between Arabs and Greeks. Zeus was never even heard of until the Greek Empire. The Arabs were a lot older than Zeus. Are you saying that the culture that spoke about Zeus existed during the time of the first nation that ever existed in the world? I hope you carbon date accurately...

zeus is greek mythology.
that's what the anicent greek used to believe
they are different religion
after the roman defeat the greek they stole some of their god and beliefs and associate them with the planet

lol religion is just religion.
like how some people still believe on dec 25 a fat man comes down the chinmey and give them present.

lol since you try so hard to connect everything with christainy.
let see you try connecting buddha. taosim,  wiccan etc.. the other 9000 religion and believes

my point here is they not fallen angel but a different religion.
that my friend you don't need proof or carbon dating. it just common sense

lol zeus and the other gods ain't fallen angel.
I think you try to hard to make them somehow fit into christiany

there both different religion and beliefs.
zeus was born from his dad one of the titans cronos

cronos fearing that his children will kill him and take power from him.
decided to eat all his children.

the mother titan hide zeus and his brother from cronos.
etc.etc.greek mythology

religion is just religion for hundreds of years during greek emipre. they believe in this stuff

I don't see Zeus in Genesis 6. You're bringing the possibility and the chance of that is zero. I can prove it through history of records about the Greek empire. The first empire that came first was the middle-eastern, which contains no Zeus. Therefore, by dating the names, Zeus came a little later within the Greek Empire, which brought out Europe. What you are confronting me is similar to the case of the Virgin Mary and Judas Iscariot textbook to be in the bible. My friend, they are dated far off from each other. How can you say that Zeus existed in the Middle-eastern times? Greek didn't have an empire yet and you claimed the possibility that Zeus might've existed? Dude, where's the textbook that talks about Zeus in the Middle-Eastern time? Get your history straight...
oh really?  You are telling me that you've been following my writing all this time and you've finally arrived to the disclaimer I made in my initial writing.   :idiot2:  Let me restate the obvious for you.  I was telling HmongRock how Zeus might have fit into the Christiandom world as a fallen angel...Don't be a dimwit...this is pure speculation.

lol I don't think you want to say that.
don't want you to end up in the vaitican jail

greek mythology, buddha, islam, christain, shaman, voodoo, scientology, etc..
are all different religion and beliefs
