Rare to see a wedding of an older couple.

I almost know these people. In fact, I know almost all of them. :2funny: :2funny:
But rare? How can it be rare for people their ages? They don't look that old yet. If it's a couple in their 60s or 70s, I'd say rare. But this? Not rare at all.

Can't be the first.
But rare? How can it be rare for people their ages? They don't look that old yet. If it's a couple in their 60s or 70s, I'd say rare. But this? Not rare at all.
I was implying "rare" as in a wedding like theirs. Hope that makes better sense of what I'm trying to say.

This is an American-styled wedding.
Many Hmong are doing that now. The first couple to ever do that in Minnesota were a Yang chick and Hang dude. I was running a TV show at that time and my crew filmed it.

They aren't old at all. They are in their 40s during this wedding.
I think the fairy tale couples are at an age where they rely only on family donations. They wouldn't and couldn't have a proper American wedding yet.
I don't see this as strange at all for the couple in the video. They are just at the right age for it.

Yep, folks are waiting longer to get married now so not that "rare" from what I've seen too.
Take Reporter for example, we still don't know if he'll ever want to get married.. ;D
But like I've said many times, as long as Reporter is happy, he can live his life however he sees fit... O0

I don't have much faith in marriages these days. To have me committed, she had better be deadly serious...not just till death do us part but "we'll never part in life and death."

Speaking from what I see, it's not the norm especially for 2nd marriage and especially among older folks. What is common is a special dinner between clans to sort things through, make it official, done.
First marriage, yes, pretty common to see the traditional and the American style wedding.

Of course and most i've seen chose not to do the whole nine and to see this couple in the wedding video, it's just "rare", beautiful.

For the Hmong people's sake, I highly suggest that single men and women wait until they're at least hitting 30 to marry.
