Happy Lao/Thai/Cambodian new year to everyone. Wishing you great health and prosperity!
Now, find someone to throw water at!
-
happy lao new year!
it also with great pleasure that the PM of Laos has just announced opening up unrestricted travel into Laos!
I need to get my visas in order and buy me a one way ticket!

IF it is today then they will celebrate this weekend.
roni drops my dedication down to about the 50% level. Add gang bang violence with stray bullets if being seen in a crowd of laos will drop it down to the 10% mark.
I know of a park that hmong and laos and southeast asian are turning this park into a food market place. It is getting bigger by the week. Once invade by the police and cited, the crowds and vendors disperse but give it a few weeks and new vendors will take their places. This would be a good place to celebrate the laos and cambo new years.

Happy New Year. I may party at my friends house and karaoke. Bamboo sticky rice with duck blood for the win.

Just for fun:
If only we can make ethic holidays national American holidays, we would have a lot of times off from work every year...every day, in fact.
November or so is Hmong New Year.
January is the general new year.
February is Chinese, Vietnamese or Lunar new year.
March is Irish new year?
April is Thai, Lao and Cambodian new year.
May?
June?
July?
August?
September is Hmong new year again.
October is Hmong new year elsewhere, too.
Then comes November again...lol
