in this hour in this time
i open my eyes but i cannot see
i am blinded by my destiny

my body chills to the bone
while the sun shines so bright
surrounding me with light

warm hands capture my beating heart
a soft whisper upon my ear
never faulter and do not fear

this moment seems cruel and unkind
fear grasp me all in my inside
but i listen and bide my time

I froze in time when others walk
I hid in pain among the crowd
Pretending to be oh so proud

Amongst strangers and friends
I stand alone with my broken pride
Determine never to be weaken
