I'm a fan of Lord of The Ring as well, but not very stupid like the others in the article. Unlike the idiots, I had to do research first before jumping into conclusion like fact checking.
Elves are in Irish + Scottish folklore and dwarves are in Norwegian + Swedish folklore. They're nothing more than a bedtime story. I see why white fans have to be anal and think that LTR took place in England, France, Germany, and Belgium when there are kings and queens in fairy tales as they were in Shrek.

Someone should tell these Hollywood snobs that it's actually more racist to have non-whites play characters that aren't relevant in their communities or even known to their people because racist Hollywood won't actually produce good stories that are told from a non-white culture. As if only white people can tell stories. ::)
For example, there isn't a need for a black Annie just so Jamie Foxx can have an acting career. Simply tell stories where the characters are already non-white. ::)

Fyi, I did read the book and watch LTR series. Much similar storyline and setting. The gangs: Frodo, Sam, Merry, Pippin, Legolas, Gimli, Aragon, Boromir, and Gandalf are on their journey to Mount Doom to get rid of the Sauron's ring. I watched another LOTR trilogy: The Hobbits on Amazon. This sequel is the prelude before LOTR how Bilbo Baggin (Frodo's uncle) got Sauron's ring from Gollum. There you go. I provide what I know since you're all butt-hurt. :2funny:
