I say U.S.-Mexico because folks can easily cross back and forth between Big Bend and Maderas del Carmen. Basically the rock on the left is Mexico and the one on the right is America in the photo I took below. The Rio Grande is pretty much dried up so why it's easy for folks to cross it back and forth between the two countries:

Camping Couple Shot to Death After Encountering ‘Weirdo’

Kylen Schulte and Crystal Beck knew the mountains of Moab well, moving from campsite to campsite in the Utah wilderness with ease. But a week ago, reportedly after telling friends they were spooked by a man they encountered, the married couple disappeared.

“Kylen and Crystal told close friends that there was a weirdo camping near them that was freaking them out !!! And that they should move campsites,” Schulte’s father, Sean-Paul, wrote in a Facebook post on Wednesday. “Now they have been missing for over 4 days and nights!”

As family put out the word that Schulte, 24, and Beck, 38, had vanished, a friend made a disturbing discovery on Wednesday: two women found shot to death off a scenic road that runs through a national forest. Late Thursday they were identified as the missing women. Now police are hunting for a killer, and the victims’ families and friends are wondering why anyone would hurt them[/quote]

"Matt Gaetz elopes to California, marries girlfriend"

U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida eloped to Southern California, marrying his girlfriend Ginger Luckey in a small ceremony on Catalina Island. The 39-year-old Republican announced the Saturday wedding on his personal Twitter page. He exclaimed “I love my wife!” along with a photo of them together. Vanity Fair reports that a former staffer for Sen. Rand Paul performed the ceremony that was attended by about 40 people. The couple had previously announced they would marry next year. Gaetz is under investigation in a sex trafficking probe that led to a guilty plea by Joel Greenberg, a close friend and former Florida county tax collector.  The 39-year-old Republican is currently under investigation as part of a sex trafficking probe. He is under investigation for a reported pay-for-sex relationship with a 17-year-old girl. He has repeatedly denied these allegations. Gaetz denies wrongdoing.

Donald Trump booed at Alabama rally after encouraging his supporters to get vaccinated against COVID-19

Former President Donald Trump was booed by some of his supporters at a "Save America" rally in Cullman, Alabama, on Saturday night after he suggested that they get vaccinated against COVID-19.

"I believe totally in your freedoms, I do, you've got to do what you've got to do," Trump said to the crowd. "But I recommend that you take the vaccines."

The former president then told his supporters that the vaccines are "good" and once again encouraged them to get a shot.

This suggestion was met with boos, as can be heard in a video shared by Vox journalist Aaron Rupar.
