After a major rainstorm, avoid going out a night worms might crawl up your legs.  I have a small fear of worms so when I see them crawling on the ground, especially after a hard rain, I try to avoid them -walk over them, away from them, etc..

When I was young, I went to the farm with my mother.  A green baby snake wrapped itself around my ankle and I didnt' sense it..know it but my mother said, "oh my daughter, you have a baby snake wrapped around your ankle, let me take it off."  I glanced down and sure enough, I saw it.  I think that sort of traumatized me a little bit.  So I never really like snake and worms.

LOL.  I was wondering what was going on there.  ;D

But to answer your question....an d this is very minor......I tend to over purchase on necessities or supplies, just in case I run out of them or they need to be washed (e.g. paper towels, toilet paper, water, toothpaste, towels, etc. etc.).   :D

That's so scary! I hate snakes, worms, and caterpillars!

Lol.

That is actually a sensible fear. I wouldn't feel so good if I ran out of those items, too.

Lock the car and house.  I wish we could get back to the days when we could leave cars and houses wide open without fear.

I didn’t realize you used your guns to fish and kill chicken too.  Your words, not mine.   ;D  This coming from the person who was preaching about the 2nd Amendment.   lol

And I know you lock your doors, whether you have insurance or not.  No need to dodge anymore.   O0

Next.

Following the conversation.. .

My first deer kill...was with a knife.

I was feeling sleepy.  Deer walked right up to me.  My shotgun was well just sitting on ground and safety lock on.  Well it was my father's shotgun.

First thing first, I am not familiar with that shotgun.  Second, I am familiar with my knife - assassin's killing knife.  Why cuz the blade is black and not shiny metal.

I unsnapped the snap.  Knife can be un-sheathed and killing blow enacted in one fell stroke.

If you know a killing shot, it's gonna be a killing strike.  Else if deer kicks me, I'm gonna be hurting.

Lucky for me, it was a second year buck, just barely spike and nub.

Whooof!  Killing strike!

Deer never ran away...It stood up on hind legs and fell over.  I was like a ninja, deer never saw it coming.  Only after that moment did I feel my heart beat hard powerful adrenaline sourced.

Hunting is never about taking the shot...never.  It ain't war...it's hunting.  It's all them dirty shots that ruins it for everyone.  You main your prey and they be suffering.  Or you end up chasing your wounded prey for the whole day...waste of everyone's time and the suffering the prey has to endure.

One clean shot, one clean kill.  No chasing, no running, just waiting, and waiting, and waiting to collect.  No one even knows you were there.  No one even knows you made a kill.  It's all clean.  No trail.  No marks.

It's your own fault if you intrude on another's territory...

Does carrying a gun...make you more bold to intrude?

Yes you have as you "fake a sick call" to go fishing due to "fear" that you may lose your job if you tell them the truth..

As tRouBLe put it, "your words, not mine"...

What goes up must come down but I doubt you know anything about the danger of shooting a gun in the air as you don't get out much...

I carry when I go fishing. Like the saying, “better to have it and not use it than to need it and not have it”.

I used to be anal about keeping my corvette clean and would park in an open spot far away from other cars.  I realized that I bought it for a reason and now my corvette is my daily.  It's dirty with scuff marks and scratches.  I guess it's time to buy a house :2funny:
